Xiao Ding ran up the stairs in big strides, all the way to the sixth floor. He rushed to the high-rise elevator and saw that the screen showed the elevator had just gone up to the eighth floor.
"Damn it!"
Furiously, he slapped the staircase rail hard and ran toward another corridor's regular employee elevator while pulling out his phone to call Leng Zimo.
