Adam leaned back in his chair with his arms crossed, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips as he watched the screen, waiting for the explosion.
Leng Zimo's right hand was about to press the red button, but suddenly turned aside and pressed the larger green button instead.
"You..."
Adam sat up in shock as Leng Zimo's left hand pressed the cold barrel of a gun against the back of his head.
"Don't move!"
Adam froze in place, eyes wide.
At that moment, as Leng Zimo moved his right hand, everything on the screen flickered and then vanished into a chaotic snowstorm as the entire surveillance system rebooted.
"You..." Adam glanced sideways at Leng Zimo beside him, "You're the one who let the lady go?!"
"You found out too late!" Leng Zimo clamped his hand over Adam's mouth and nose and violently twisted his arms.
With a soft crack, Adam's neck was snapped.
His body convulsed intensely once, then slumped powerlessly in the chair.
