Li Xianyun watched Yelu Yan smile, really wanted to call him a smooth-talker, but she held back and huffed as she turned her head away.
Yelu Yan turned his head to look at her.
Li Xianyun then turned her face the other way.
Yelu Yan followed with his head.
He cheekily grinned at her.
Li Xianyun slapped his big hand, unable to hold back her laughter, "Childish."
Yelu Yan leaned in with a smile, gently resting his chin on her shoulder, his handsome cheek against her small face.
His skin was the color of wheat, and with their faces together, Li Xianyun's face seemed whiter and smaller, like a beautiful porcelain doll.
Yelu Yan parted his thin lips, "Xianxian, what I said is true, you don't know how much I missed you."
Again, that same phrase; Li Xianyun's ears could almost form calluses from hearing it.
Yet, inside, it felt so sweet.
Though she did not say it, she too missed Yelu Yan very much.
