Sherlock appeared like the Thunder God.
He held a long staff, and in an instant, thunder spread throughout the long corridor. Even distances far beyond the reach of his spell were instantly covered by the chain reaction of the Lightning Chain.
—This was all due to the spell anchoring effect provided by Arsene!
Even if completely out of sight, even if not perceived or visually locked, it could still hit the enemy with 100% accuracy!
"Spell anchoring" is an unreasonable "guaranteed hit" boost like this.
In principle, it doesn't ensure a spell definitely hits. It merely makes the spell seem to gain life, able to auto-navigate. Using Fireball Technique in a spell anchoring state grants it weak guidance, curving like a missile towards the enemy—but even so, one can evade it by prematurely detonating or high-speed maneuvers since it doesn't increase the projectile speed.
But lightning-based spells are different.
As long as it's locked, it's guaranteed to hit!
