Chapter 407 - Chapter 401.2 : Save 1 or 10000!!

The next day, in that small room.

Caesar and Chu Zihang exchanged a glance, their expressions full of helplessness.

Then, they both turned and looked toward the side, where Lu Mingfei sat on the ground, his expression blank and lifeless.

They didn't know what had happened last night, but when Chu Zihang came to take his shift, he found Lu Mingfei sitting at the edge of the roof, as if his soul had left him.

No matter how much they pushed or shouted, he didn't respond at all, as if he had been struck by a great shock.

"Hey, Lu Mingfei, what's going on?!"

Caesar was getting restless, ready to use force to wake this guy up.

They were in a difficult situation. The ceremony was just around the corner, but the strongest member of their team was in this kind of state!

"Wait, don't be so impulsive."

Just as Caesar was about to roll up his sleeves and punch Lu Mingfei in the face, Chu Zihang stopped him in time.

"Do you have another way?" Caesar shot him a glance and asked.

Chu Zihang remained silent. In fact, he had no idea how to handle Lu Mingfei's current condition.

"Then let me do it!"

Caesar forcefully pushed Chu Zihang aside, clenched his fist, and said, "Don't worry, I'll control the strength. Besides, we're all hybrids. One punch won't kill him."

"But..."

Chu Zihang frowned, still not agreeing with this method.

"Those people aren't going to wait for us," Caesar said sternly. "Don't forget, we're still being chased, and the ceremony is only a few hours away. Nono and Xia Mi are still in their hands. We need to move quickly!"

Hearing this, Chu Zihang sighed and finally stopped trying to stop him, stepping aside quietly.

"Lu Mingfei, how long are you going to space out?!"

Caesar twisted his waist, and with a forceful punch, hit Lu Mingfei square in the face.

Bang!

Lu Mingfei was sent crashing into the wall, dust falling from the ceiling.

Blood trickled from his lips, but he still looked the same, seemingly unaware of what had just happened, slowly sliding down the wall and sitting on the floor.

One punch... no effect!

Caesar stepped forward with large strides, winding up again for a left hook, and landed another heavy punch on the boy's cheek.

Bang!

Lu Mingfei collapsed to the ground.

At that moment, Chu Zihang suddenly stepped in, stopping Caesar from throwing another punch. His voice carried a hint of helplessness, "Stop. Hitting him like this won't wake him up."

Caesar gritted his teeth, and then, as if venting his anger, he let out a furious roar, his fist slamming into the wall.

The hard wall immediately caved in from the punch.

"So, what do we do now?!" Caesar's eyes were red, resembling a furious lion.

"I'll leave a message so that the people from Cassel can come and assist them." Chu Zihang silently turned around, walked to the corner, grabbed the bronze box from his back, and sighed.

"Although I don't know exactly what happened, my instinct tells me that whatever turned him into this must be related to the Secret Order."

"Are you planning to go directly after them?"

Caesar raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised.

They had experienced the depth of the Secret Order's power just yesterday, almost losing their lives on the spot.

Now, with their already weakened team, and having lost the powerhouse, Lu Mingfei, trying to stop the summoning ritual with just the two of them seemed nearly impossible.

"Unless you have another solution."

Chu Zihang said indifferently, "Either way, we have to go. As for Lu Mingfei and Jiu De Mai, they can stay here."

"To die?"

Caesar's eyes burned with fire as he spoke in a low voice.

"I have a plan. Want to hear it?" Chu Zihang turned and glanced at him, slowly speaking.

"Tell me." Caesar's eyes lit up, quickly saying, "No matter what the plan is, as long as there's a chance of success, I'm in!"

"Skywatcher."

Chu Zihang looked into Caesar's eyes, speaking each word slowly.

Caesar's pupils suddenly contracted, his expression turning horrified. "You mean..."

He was no stranger to the Skywatcher, in fact, he was very familiar with it.

It was a satellite in low Earth orbit, revolving around the planet roughly every 90 minutes. Once it reached the target coordinates, it would drop six tungsten-alloy metal rods, which were extremely dense, and the rest would be left to gravity.

The only recorded use was in the Mount Fuji area in Japan.

However, back then, "Divine Punishment" was destroyed by the White King using a Word Soul, failing to land and causing destruction.

But that didn't mean the Skywatcher was useless.

On the contrary, the Sky Watcher's deterrence still existed, and after the last incident, the equipment department made further adjustments to it.

It was loaded with an alchemical chain reaction and deadly mercury, with a shell made of tungsten alloy.

Even if the impact from falling didn't kill the Dragon King immediately, the alchemical reaction chain and poisonous mercury inside would be enough to cause a fatal strike in the second round!

However, the immense destructive power it carried was the reason it was sealed away. The damage it could cause was too massive, with too wide of a range.

But what really made Caesar hesitate was that once "Heaven's Wrath" descended, the entire city of Rome could be destroyed.

This included them, as well as Nono and Xia Mi!

Destroying a city to stop the Secret Order… was it really worth it?

Caesar asked himself, suddenly feeling lost. It felt like the classic trolley problem was right in front of him.

"Is it really... necessary to do this?" The cost of countless lives made him feel suffocated. It was as if he saw the prosperous city turn to ruins, with vibrant lives fading away. Was this the right thing to do?

"I don't know."

Chu Zihang lowered his gaze, as if he was also going through a painful decision in his heart.

"But I know this is the last option." He took a deep breath, then looked at Caesar and said seriously, "I'll do everything I can to stop the ritual. If I fail, the rest is up to you. You'll have to stop them."

Caesar understood his meaning, his eyes flickering slightly. "You're going alone?"

"Someone has to sacrifice."

Chu Zihang patted the bronze box on his back, his gaze burning with intensity. "The Seven Deadly Sins is not just an alchemical weapon. It also hides an alchemical secret, the greatest trump card of Norton. Only I can activate it, so I have to go. It's something only I can do."

Save one person? Or save ten thousand?

No, no.

Caesar painfully closed his eyes. He would rather be the one to sacrifice himself.

To personally destroy millions of lives, this kind of pain… could drive anyone insane!
