Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 - Self-Control

Third person POV

Tashio paused his glare on the Japanese-Spanish fellow, stunned at his revelation. Even his son Kashi was shocked by his dark secret. By now, Reina was sobbing with tears flowing from his eyes. "I confessed…" he sobbed in an accent for someone who went into a confessional with a parish priest, "…I confessed that I killed Gen-san as an act of revenge for killing my parents…He wanted me to act my vengeance on him as payback…I shouldn't have taken it, now that decision haunted me now…"

Reina kept on sobbing as the trauma struck his mind like a truck, and his emotions lost their sanity, before Reina took some of his medication to try to alleviate his emotions.

Hearing his secret, Tashio realised that his own revenge against Gen was essentially a merging lane onto the dark path Reina regretted taking. Because of that, he listened to him and stopped pursuing his revenge, apologising to him and Kashi.

"It's okay, Dad," Kashi replied before being relieved of his father's regaining of his self-control.

Reina nodded for Tashio's apology, before wiping his tears with an extra, dirty t-shirt he had been using to wipe dirt from his face.
