Tao Siran repeated the same question he had just asked back to Jin Yan.
He hoped Jin Yan would give him the same answer he would have given, but she didn't. She said, "No, I absolutely won't let my son suffer the slightest bit of grievance."
So, she won't get married, but she doesn't tell Tao Siran; her pride doesn't want him to look down on her.
Tao Siran suddenly stood up, squinting his eyes dangerously.
A moment later, he walked towards the liquor cabinet, with Jin Yan's gaze following him all the way, watching him take out a bottle of Hennessy and pour himself a full glass.
She also stood up and walked to face Tao Siran. His face was gloomy, and he drank one glass after another, drinking as if it were water, clearly in a very bad mood.
The lighting near the liquor cabinet and bar was dim. He drank, and then lit a cigarette for himself. The dim light and swirling smoke created an alluring yet fallen loneliness.
Jin Yan felt a slight tremor in her heart.
