The two bodyguards exchanged a glance, and one of them gestured to the other, before turning around and leaving the room to notify General Barton.
A moment later, General Barton reappeared inside the room.
"I can promise to attend the press conference, but I have one condition. Before I participate, I want you to release my wife and children," the President said, with bloodshot eyes glancing at Barton, frowning. "If you don't agree, I absolutely won't attend the conference."
General Barton frowned and snorted coldly, "Do you think, at this point, you are still in a position to negotiate with me?"
The President didn't speak; he simply stepped to the window, suddenly extending his hand and shattering the glass pane.
Picking up a shard of glass, the President raised it to his throat, pressing so hard that the sharp glass pierced his skin immediately.
"If you don't agree, I will die in front of you right now!"
