"I know, I wasn't a responsible good man before, but from now on, I want to change for you. Betty," Abel lifted her little hand to his lips and gently kissed it, looking expectantly into her enchanting eyes, "Give me a chance, will you?"
"Then show me your sincerity. Where have you been these days?"
"Me?" Abel laughed, "I... I went to see a woman."
A woman?
Betty's face tightened, and she immediately tried to withdraw her hand, but he held onto it, not letting her escape.
"I've been following her around. During the day, wherever she goes, I go. At night, I stay in the room across from hers... I even snuck into her room a few times. When I saw her asleep on the sofa, I'd carry her to the bed and finish the documents she was looking at..."
