The rest of the members seemed keenly interested in the details, their gazes drawn to the scene. I fixed my gaze on Rex, who sat hunched alone on the long sofa. "Move out of there."

Rex glared at me, his eyes narrowed. "Why would I?"

"Do you want me to tell the story, or not?" I pressed, my voice flat.

"Who do you think you are—" Rex began, but I cut him off.

"3."

"Wait, why are you—" Rex sputtered, his tone rising.

"2."

"What the—" Rex's voice trailed off, his face a mask of annoyance.

"1."

I was about to kick him when Cypher, stepping forward, calmly said, "Rex, move."

Rex muttered under his breath, "You're lucky this guy came to help you."

"Idiot," I said, my tone dismissive.

"Witch," he muttered, more to himself than to me.

I settled back comfortably, placing a pillow on my stomach. "Shall we introduce each other first, or...?"

"Just cut to the story. I can't stay here any longer," Edge said impatiently.
