Everyone cheered as they expressed their gratitude, the mood lightening after the meal.
Whitney tilted her head, a playful smirk on her face. "You're not usually the generous type, so what changed your mind?"
Rex shrugged casually. "Is it really wrong to pay for someone else's food?"
Christian chuckled. "Not really, but it's pretty new for us."
Rex rolled his eyes, waving a hand dismissively. "Is it that hard to just say thank you and shut up?"
"Okay, okay," Christian chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender. "I'll shut up now."
Rex, trying to divert attention from his earlier antics, blurted out whatever came to mind. He signaled to the waiter. "We'd like to pay our bill, please."
"Please wait a moment," the waiter replied with a friendly smile.
A few minutes later, the waiter returned with their bill. "Alright, who shall pay?"
We all pointed at Rex simultaneously.
"Sir, would you like to pay in cash or with a card?" the waiter asked.
