Aidan stands staring at her. His hair a mess and his eyes, fierce and tired. He has been watching her and waiting before approaching her.
"Griselda," he says, his voice soft, "you didn't eat. You didn't sleep. You just... sat by the window all day, watching the sun go down. What are you thinking about?" He says approaching her.
Griselda doesn't answer, but keeps staring at him as though she's seeing and ghost. A million thoughts run through her head all at once as he keeps approaching her.
Aidan finally reaches up to her, towering over her. "Please," he says in a low voice, "talk to me. Tell me what's on your mind. Tell me what you're thinking. I just... I want to understand, I want to understand why so keen on always leaving."
Griselda looks up immediately to match his gaze, her eyes filled with a cold.
"You want to understand?" she asks bitterly.
