The days that follow after Aidan and Griselda's return to Balcroft feel like a quiet unadressed war. Even the court members can feel the tension and transferred aggression from their king, Aidan.
Griselda wholly tried to fix things, to break through the wall Aidan has put up between them. She tried talking to him, but stopped when his answers were short and cold. She tried to touch him and get close, but he always pulled away from her. She eventually gave up, his distance hurting her so much like a physical pain.
