---------------

A few days ago, Jinbe, who has always been grateful for Whitebeard's kindness, learned that the Whitebeard Pirates were facing attacks from many different pirate crews. To help, Jinbe led the Fish-Man Pirates into the New World to assist Whitebeard.

However, as soon as he left Fish-Man Island, some bold pirates, seeing that Whitebeard had given in to Vladimir, no longer respected his flag and launched an attack on the island.

The mermaids on Fish-Man Island are extremely valuable, with each one able to be sold for hundreds of millions at auctions. If inflation is not considered, the mermaids there are a treasure trove for pirates.

Out of the five million people on Fish-Man Island, there are at least hundreds of thousands of mermaid women. Despite needing money, Duke refuses to engage in human trafficking.

Money can be earned over time, but once a person loses their conscience, how much more money can they really make? Without conscience, there's no limit to what one could do.

Duke doesn't want to be someone with no morals. Besides, mermaids are rare and valuable. Only a small number can be sold for high prices, and even the Celestial Dragons, who have lots of money, can't buy so many at once.

Furthermore, any money from the Celestial Dragons would eventually end up in Duke's hands. But should he buy his conscience with his own money? Is his conscience really that cheap?

Duke thinks his conscience should be worth at least ten trillion. Well, maybe five trillion would be the minimum...

Duke never intended to sell mermaids, even though Nami has taken control over more than 100,000 mermen in Fish-Man Street and has built a huge reputation across the island.

After Whitebeard's influence started to fade, many pirate crews, blinded by greed, attacked Fish-Man Island.

While the fishmen have great strength, being ten times stronger than humans, they are no match for the powerful pirate crews that come from all over the world, even from the depths of the New World.

When Jinbe and the Fish-Man Pirates left Fish-Man Island, they were defeated.

Fishmen may be stronger than humans in terms of basic strength, but they fall short in higher levels of combat power. Whether it's mid-level, high-level, or top-tier fighters, fishmen are no match for humans.

Does the strength of basic soldiers even matter in the world of pirates or real wars? Even the strongest fishmen cannot withstand attacks from those with Conqueror's Haki.

Luffy, their king, can intimidate 100,000 fishmen with just one burst of Conqueror's Haki. If Whitebeard or one of the Four Emperors came to Fish-Man Island and used Conqueror's Haki, it would have the same effect.

How many fishmen on Fish-Man Island can stand up to Whitebeard or the Four Emperors in the end? One thousand? Five hundred? Or even fewer?

The fishmen are simply too weak. The Ryugu Kingdom is too weak. Even Jinbe's Fish-Man Pirates, after Whitebeard's death, had no way to resist the endless attacks from human pirate crews.

After Whitebeard died, they were forced to ally with Big Mom. The Poseidon army of the Ryugu Kingdom was retreating in front of many powerful pirate groups. A large number of mermaids were captured and taken by these pirates, and Fish-Man Island was thrown into chaos.

But just then, Nami, leading a group of fish-men gathered from Fish-Man Street, stepped in to help. Hody Jones and his crew, who had obtained the poison, weren't as strong as they would later become, but they still had decent fighting abilities.

Hody Jones and his crew easily repelled many weaker pirate groups with the help of the dangerous medicine. Even some notorious pirates with bounties near 100 million were torn apart by Hody Jones.

Even though Nami, the Tidecaller, had subdued Hody Jones and his crew, they still held deep hatred and disdain for humans. Defeating pirates with bounties of nearly 100 million made Hody Jones more arrogant and, over time, he began secretly disobeying some of Nami's orders.

Then, during a reckless attack, the infamous pirate Blood Sword Aydin, with a bounty of 230 million from a New World pirate crew, was quickly overwhelmed. His arm was easily chopped off, and then his head was sliced cleanly off.

Blood Sword Aydin was a skilled swordsman who could easily perform flying slashes. Even in the deep sea, his combat ability didn't suffer too much. In the deep sea, besides boats and people with coatings, only a few Devil Fruit users or powerful physical fighters could be a real threat.

While the dangerous medicine did give Hody Jones a boost in strength, his vision was too limited. He had never eaten a powerful Devil Fruit or mastered the two types of Haki. While he could defeat weaker pirates with the poison and fish-man karate, he stood no chance against a real powerhouse.

For someone like Hody Jones, facing true strength, he was just prey. Nami, the Tidecaller, didn't like people like him. If it weren't for the fact that she couldn't find strong enough subordinates from Fish-Man Street at the time, Hody Jones and his crew would have been abandoned long ago.

Now, with the arrival of Tidal Sealing Fitz, Hody Jones—who had long lost his potential to grow stronger due to years of using dangerous drugs and had deep hatred for Poseidon Shirahoshi—was no longer needed.

It's unclear how Hody Jones will react when he is finally defeated by the humans he's always looked down on.

When Hody Jones died, Nami's fury was immediate and overwhelming.

For the first time, Nami unleashed her terrifying power in front of countless fishmen on Fish-Man Island. Even though Nami no longer liked Hody Jones, he was still one of her subordinates. Blood Sword Aydin killing Hody Jones was a direct insult to her—it was as if he didn't care about her status as the future Mermaid Queen and King of the Deep Sea.

Nami was furious, and the sea responded with anger.

A powerful undercurrent surged through the entire Blood Sword Pirates group. The coating on their ship was shattered, and countless pirates were crushed by the immense pressure of the deep sea.

Even some of the pirate officers, strong as they were, couldn't withstand the pressure. They were coughing up blood and slowly floating toward the surface, lifeless.

The Blood Sword Pirates were wiped out almost instantly. However, Blood Sword Aydin and his deputy, Iron Hand Rabbi, managed to withstand Nami's first wave of attack thanks to their incredible strength and their ship's coating. But the deep sea was Nami's domain, and she wasn't done.

As she controlled the ocean, the sea surged violently, forming a Red Port that completely engulfed Blood Sword Aydin, Iron Hand Rabbi, and the rest of the crew. When the Red Port finally subsided, only the heads of Aydin and Rabbi remained—valuable bounties, not to be wasted.

The destruction of the Blood Sword Pirates, combined with Nami's ability to control the sea, terrified the fishmen watching. News spread quickly, and many pirates attempting to capture mermaids on Fish-Man Island learned of the Blood Sword Pirates' fate.

Some wise captains decided to retreat, while the others, blinded by greed, met a similar end, becoming new bounties under Nami's wrath and the elusive tidal sea spirit, Fitz.

In the deep sea, with Nami, the Tide Summoner, and Fitz, the Tidal Sea Spirit, Duke couldn't think of anyone who could defeat them—not even an Admiral or the Four Emperors. As long as Nami or Fitz survived, the deep sea would devour any enemy who dared to challenge them.

Nami and Fitz became heroes of Fish-Man Island, and the strength of the Dragon Palace Kingdom and the Poseidon Army was fully revealed to the island's inhabitants. The Dragon Palace Kingdom could not protect its people, and a king who could not protect his own people had little value.

Fish-Man Island was now under the influence of Nami and the people from Fish-Man Street, and tensions were rising.

Meanwhile, Whitebeard and his crew had successfully dealt with provocateurs and severely wounded Kaido.

But when Whitebeard learned of the pirate attacks on Fish-Man Island and the potential for civil unrest, Jinbe, the sea hero, hurried back from the New World to help.

He hoped for peace and stability on Fish-Man Island. While King Neptune may be weak, at least he was a good person.

Jinbe understood that a king's worth depended on the support of his peers. He didn't know much about Nami, but he feared that she might lead Fish-Man Island into danger.

However, Nami was confident that she could guide the island to a bright future.
