Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Chapter 27

- HEY PEOPLE! DID YOU HEAR WHAT HAPPENED!? - ran in, one of the clawed upperclassmen near the end of dinner and shouted to the entire Great Hall.

Instantly the entire hall went silent, and absolutely everyone's attention was focused on the boy.

 - Ahem, ahem, shortly..." the guy coughed, seeing that he had successfully attracted everyone's attention and conspiracy:

A freshman Gryffindor was found in the first floor men's room. But it's not as simple as it seems at first glance. The guy's name is Kenneth Towler, and I don't know what upperclassman he crossed, but he was completely naked, immobile, and vomiting and defecating all over himself. You should have known the stench in there, I almost died from the smell.....

- EWWW, OLIVER! YOU ASSHOLE! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SAY THAT DURING DINNER? ¬- suddenly one of the Claw girls stood up and threw a piece of uneaten brownie at the student who had broken the news.

As if by magic, or perhaps it was magic, the cake flew across all the tables and hit the young man's face, causing the hall to erupt in laughter. But that was just the beginning, because someone shouted "food fight", and then all the students started throwing food at each other like snowballs, and Kenneth was immediately forgotten....

I had no desire to participate in this, so after dodging a few projectiles, I successfully left the Great Hall and headed for the Slytherin Lounge. And as it later turned out, not for nothing. For soon after I left, the teachers came running to the noise and made everyone in the Great Hall clean up....

As it turned out, nobody forgot about the situation that happened to Kenneth, and every time they saw him, everyone started whispering and laughing, because of which the guy turned pale and did not dare to look at anyone's face. He also stopped letting rumors about others, though he could be understood. After all, how can you start a rumor if no one talks to you? So, seeing that the guy had calmed down, I decided that my revenge was enough and decided not to pay any more attention to him, unless of course he started spreading rumors about me again.

Interestingly enough, the Weasley brothers were convinced that it was me who had made fun of the Gryffindor, and had asked me to teach them the spells they needed. Nymphadora, by the way, sometimes threw judgmental glances in my direction, though there were no direct accusations against me.

- Hey Draco! How are you? - Angelina called out to me one day when I was walking to the library after class again.

- Huh? Hi Angelina. I'm doing pretty good, how are you? - I stopped to chat with a friend I hadn't talked to in a long time.

- Huh, I'm good, too. I'm just tired of doing homework all the time. Honestly, it's like all the teachers have gone crazy lately. I'm about to join them. Who in their right mind would think of assigning so much homework!

- Yes, I do. There's been a lot of homework lately.

- Bigger!? It's not more, it's VERY MUCH MORE! Though a nerd like you probably isn't used to..." the girl stammered, as if she realized what she had said.

- Don't get me wrong Draco! I didn't mean that you're a nerd, I mean, you're a nerd in a bad way. It's just that you're always reading books and stuff, so I guess it's not hard for you to digest so much material.

- Don't be nervous!" I smiled at the girl, who turned pale at my words. After all, for someone such words can sound very offensive.

- I'm not offended by your words. And there is more homework because the end of the year and exams are coming up. So the teachers want to cram more knowledge into our heads.

- Haa, and it's only freshman year! I can't even imagine what will be waiting for us in the next ones...

- It's an adjustment, so I'm sure you'll get used to it in the future. And by the way, I think you'd better go to Professor Snape's office and tell him to come help me as soon as possible. Don't ask any questions and run!

When I finished, I ran in the opposite direction of Angelina without a backward glance, so that the fucking PATRICIA REYCKPICK, who was at Hogwarts for some reason, wouldn't hurt her.

- Stop Draco Malfoy, or it will be worse for you! - I heard a voice behind me, but ignored it completely and rushed up to the fourth floor towards the spellcasting classroom, praying that Professor Flitwick was in the classroom.

At some point, realizing what I was about to do, Patricia started throwing spells at me, which I miraculously dodged. And I realized that this woman was really crazy. Because of the secret I'd found, she'd escaped house arrest and somehow gotten into Hogwarts! Either the school's defenses aren't that strong, or Headmaster Dumbledore still hasn't revoked her license, which is why she was able to enter the school without a problem.

- *BAH-BAH-BAH-BAH-BAH-BAH* Professor Snape! Professor Snape! - Angelina rammed on the door of the Slytherin Dean's office until it finally opened, revealing a not-so-pleasant expression on the sullen professor's face.

- Miss Johnson, I hope you have a good enough reason for this behavior. If not, prepare for Gryffindor to lose a bunch of points and for you to work off a severe punishment!

- YES. Draco Malfoy, he's in danger! - the girl whispered, still breathing heavily from the lack of oxygen after the intense running.

Snape's face instantly became serious, and then he pulled out his wand and made a small wave of it, which made the girl regain consciousness and could speak normally.

- Now quickly tell me what happened!?!?

- I was chatting with Draco on the third floor when suddenly he told me to run to you for help, then he ran away. And at the last moment I saw a shadow following him!

- Report this to your Dean, Professor McGonagall, and I'll go see what happened! - Severus Snape disappeared, and the girl had no choice but to obey the order. She prayed that her friend would be alright....

- Holy shit! - I couldn't help but curse, realizing that Professor Flitwick's office was closed and that I had nowhere to go, because it was a dead end. So I had no choice but to pull out my wand and get ready to fight.

- Well, boy, you've had it! Put your wand away, or you'll hurt yourself, and hurry up and take me to the secret door you found, otherwise I'll have to make you...

- I don't know what you're talking about, Ms. Rakpik. But I do know that for breaking into a school and threatening a student, you're sure to be locked up for a long time.

- If you hurry up, no one can stop me. So stop messing with my head and show me the way....
