Chapter 30 - To us

{Author-chan: Welcome to another new chapter, my dear readers. I hope you all are feeling better than me. I hope you all will like how I approached this universe. If you think that something should be added, give me those suggestions..

I am not taking Sylvia Weis as one of Alexia's partners, as she is just too immature and causes trouble. Don't worry; we will take Amanda Seyfried from another movie or TV universe. The girls I am thinking of taking are Sylvia's mother — Michelle Weis and Rachel Salas.

That's all. The goal for a bonus chapter has not been fulfilled.. :( So, it's been reset. The goal for a bonus chapter is 5 Shiny Stones. Don't think you have figured out a loophole that resets the bonus mark; you would only need 5 Shiny Stones. The lower the bonus mark, the lower I put effort into it. Hmph…

But do drop those Shiny Stones. I love seeing the message that someone dropped a Shiny Stone. Whenever you guys give those stones, it motivates me to write more. I hope you all like this chapter and keep providing me with suggestions. Also, the poll for the next universe is still up; go and vote….

And, with that. Let's start this chapter, you Fuckers.

Toodaloo!}

A mile from the Border of Zone 12 — Dayton, Year 2168 {Image in the Comment}

Swish….

If somebody were here, they would see an advanced Ford Raptor F-150-inspired truck instantly appearing on an empty gravel road in a desert.

I got out of the truck and took a deep breath. "Clean air, eh… at least cleaner than the previous world."

Others got out of the truck one after one.

"So, this is another world? Doesn't seem different… Where are we?" Linda started asking questions, being curious as she just did her first universe hop.

I asked Katie the same question, "Where are we, Kat?"

"We are near Dayton's border," Katie replied.

"Near Dayton, love..." I replied to Linda. {Author-chan: What nickname should we give our Linda?}

"You all have your left hand covered, right?" I turned towards them and asked.

"Yeah" Yes" "Hm-Hmm" "Yup" "Yes, Boss"

"Well, let's go then." I clapped my hands a little excitedly and we all got in the car.

John drove us to the border of Dayton. The border was nothing but cement blocks 18 inches at most, and that was also only on the road. What? What about around the road? In the desert?

"This movie verse is filled with more nonsense than mine. Ha ha..." Jenny started laughing.

We all started laughing, Haha...

While driving through Dayton, we got stares from people, as trucks were not commonly seen in poor zones.

We reached the pawn shop in Dayton.

As we reached the pawn shop door, John opened the door as we went in. There were two people behind the counter, trading with a customer.

The owner looked at us and said one minute. I nodded; we all started looking around the store curiously, as it was 2168.There must be some unique things.

When the customer got his money, he left.

The owner said, "So, how can I help you?"

I said, "I have with me a beautiful necklace that I am sure even people from Livingston would buy." {Author-chan: I watched the movie, and Livingston was mentioned once along with a huge, and like really huge, park-sized bank. I think Livingston is Zone 1.}

"Can I see it?" He said and started putting on the equipment.

"Sure, but just for safety," I said and pulled out my .40 S&W Glock, putting it on the counter.

"Ug..hh… Su...re…", The owner cleared his throat, and the other employee, who I assume is his wife, rolled her eyes and put her hand on an old shotgun.

He started checking the necklace and got more and more excited as time went by. He tried to compose himself and then said, "I will give 10 months for it."

I stayed silent for a minute and then said, "Eh… How about no?"

I moved to take the necklace, but he hurriedly said, "Look, a year. I cannot do more than that."

"2 years," I said.

"1 and 5 months," he said.

"2 years and 2 months"

"Come on… Okay... 1 and 10 months."

"Like I said, 2 years."

"Fine," he said after some hesitation; his wife went to the back room and came out with a time capsule loaded with 2 years.

I could rob him, but there's no point in doing that.

"Anything else I can help you with?" he asked.

"No," I took my gun off the table, threw the time capsule to John, and started walking out.

John said, "Where to, Boss?"

I said, "Drive to The Century for now."

"Got it, Boss."

As we got to The Century. We were greeted by decent decor and a staff for a hotel.

We got two rooms that were decent, but compared to our own beds, they did not hold a candle.

Jenny puffed her cheeks and complained, "I want to sleep in my own bedddd….."

"Suck it up for a month at most, love," I spoke, moving towards her, taking her lips, and savoring the taste of them.

Jenny, being reasonable, said, "Hh…hm…"

As our small makeout session started, others joined in as well, and before we knew it, the whole evening and night had passed.

The next morning, as the sunlight made its way through the curtains, I woke up from my sleep. Others were still asleep.

Before taking a shower, I called John, "Freshen up and then come to my room."

"Okay, Boss." John arrived shortly before me.

After taking a warm shower, I got out of the bathroom, drying my hair with a towel, to see John standing there.

"We are getting old now, John. When are you going to drop the formalities? Sit." I said, positioning the towel on my neck, and moved towards the alcohol that we brought.

"Rules and formalities are important, Boss. They are what differentiate us from animals." he said, taking a seat.

"Then what about those people outside, in this district and heck — District 12? Are they not living like Animals, John? What living is this where they have to worry about each second? Where they have no idea if they are going to survive tomorrow?" I said, opening a Château d'Yquem 1811. {Image in the comment}

"Well, that is because the rules are made by people who are in power, and let's be honest, boss. Every human is flawed; would they not take advantage of the rules if there were no consequences? But these people are the ones who make the chessboard, so naturally, the whole game is tilted in their favor."

"Correct, But this is a cycle, is it not? When the ones who are people or state in power go too extreme and make the game unwinnable for the public. It calls for a reset. A new game, with better rules, learning from the history." I said, passing him a glass.

"So, should a revolution happen here? Boss? It seems it is needed." He says, spinning the glass a little, and observing the wine.

"What is going to happen will happen with or without us. We just need to ensure we gain the most benefits when it does." I said, smelling the wine.

"We are different from them, John. We enjoy the fruit without watering the tree." I said, and as the glasses moved, a clink was heard.

"To us, Boss," John said, nodding and taking a sip.

Then saying, "This is some good shit, Boss."

"Ha ha… I know; wait until you taste the wine from the royal wine cellar."

"To us."

{Author-chan: I have taken a different approach in this universe. Instead of explaining what Alexia did. Here, it will be experienced with accelerating the timeline—like, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, then 8 weeks later, or so. Now, Alexia arrived a year before the story started.

I did not write a chapter for the past two months. What can I say? I am lazy:). I am thinking of starting a new fanfic along with this. Hopefully, that will encourage me to write more.

That's all. Don't forget to read today's author's weird thoughts.}
