Chapter 377 - Chapter 377: The Evil of the Stars and Blazing Void

Chapter 377: The Evil of the Stars and Blazing Void

High above the planet, in the frigid, silent darkness of space, King stared at the massive void, a gaping maw relentlessly swallowing countless materials from the world below. A sinking feeling settled in his chest.

He had gotten himself into serious trouble.

Unlike those on the ground, whose vision was dominated by the sheer scale of the tornadoes, King's vantage point offered a broader, more harrowing perspective. From his position, he could see three colossal tornadoes stretching from the earth to the sea, converging into a single cataclysmic force in the sky.

Originating in the New World, East Blue, and South Blue, these monstrous storms carried oceans, soil, rocks, vegetation, and everything else on the surface straight into the sky. The churning masses were funneled into the enormous black hole above, squeezed and consumed by its insatiable hunger.

By some stroke of fortune, the tornadoes had formed over remote, uninhabited sea regions. It seemed like a coincidence, but King knew better, it was inevitable. A force woven from hope and luck had subtly steered this disaster away from populated areas, mitigating its wrath.

Still, King gazed at the slowly repairing void nearby and felt a knot of unease. Dealing with this kind of spatial calamity was beyond his expertise. His eyes flicked to Sukuna, who stood opposite him, brimming with eagerness to continue their fight. A headache throbbed in King's temples.

His power was immense, but a space disaster like this? He was at a loss. The ongoing chaos below, fueled by their battle, only deepened his reluctance to keep fighting Sukuna.

Meanwhile, Sukuna's expression soured with disappointment at King's lack of fighting spirit.

Is this it?

As King pondered how to bring this chaos to an end, something shifted. The void in space began to contract at an accelerated pace, as if responding to an unseen force.

A power called hope, idealistic and almost miraculous, seemed to heed King's unspoken wish for the hole to mend faster. The void complied, its repair process hastening.

'Did the boss step in?' King wondered, exhaling in relief as the hole shrank rapidly before his eyes.

Soon, the void dwindled, thousands of meters, hundreds of meters, tens of meters, until it vanished completely.

With its disappearance, the massive tornadoes piercing the sky began to falter. The torrents of seawater, earth, and debris that had been drawn upward collapsed, cascading back to the planet like waterfalls from the Milky Way itself.

From the ground, it looked as though the heavens were pouring rivers. The falling masses crashed into the seas, sending countless waves and tsunamis rippling outward.

Soon, islands across the world would face the wrath of these man-made tsunamis, a natural disaster born of their battle.

King barely registered this consequence for now. His attention was locked on Sukuna, who's fighting spirit had reignited with a vengeance.

"King, since we've come this far," Sukuna said, his voice dripped with anticipation, "let me show you the technique I've been working on. I hope you can entertain me, don't just die on me!"

King's expression grew uneasy as Sukuna began to channel his new technique. This move was still theoretical, untested in practice. For Sukuna, King was the perfect guinea pig.

Their battle had already dampened Sukuna's enthusiasm, thanks to King's earlier hesitation. Now, Sukuna was determined to unleash his strongest technique and settle the score once and for all.

Buzz! Buzz!

At their feet, countless negative energy particles from the planet's surface surged upward, drawn to Sukuna under King's wary gaze. Their clash had already shaken the entire world, with apocalyptic visions and seismic tremors spreading fear. The abundance of negative energy particles, far more than usual, fueled Sukuna's power.

'Hey! Can't I just surrender?' King thought, as a chill ran through him as he watched Sukuna's preparations.

This was bad, really bad. One wrong move, and he would be done for.

How could such dangerous power be wielded so recklessly? Sukuna's indifferent smirk only deepened King's frustration, though he maintained a composed and solemn facade.

'Fine. I hope the boss can handle this.'

With Sukuna's ominous buildup, King couldn't afford to stand idle. He might need to pull out all the stops this time.

He needed a technique even more powerful than Sukuna's, and fast.

As the thought took hold, a flood of inspiration erupted in King's mind. His innate luck ability kicked into overdrive, burning through the fortune he had accumulated. He entered a transcendent state, his mind racing with possibilities.

Auras began to manifest and align, coalescing around his signature move, the Ultimate Hellfire Burst Wave Motion Cannon. A new technique took shape, rapidly forming at its core.

Endless light and searing heat burst from his body, only to be restrained moments later. A palpable aura of destruction seeped into the void, warping the space around him.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The King Engine roared, its terrifying and relentless rhythm shook the very fabric of space. The power core within King's chest, anchored in the void, unleashed its full might, overloading as it drew even greater energy from the surrounding void.

Across from him, Sukuna's power took a darker form.

Sinister murmurs echoed in the blackness, voices whispering indistinct words. They swirled, converging into a single, repeated chant. Darkness, devouring all light, flowed from Sukuna like liquid, carried by the wind, and gathered at his core.

In his hands, a tiny black sun was created.

Sukuna gazed at the black sun with a slow and almost reverent admiration.

Meanwhile, King completed his own masterpiece.

A red light, flowing like molten magma, streamed from his palm. The liquid-like glow swirled, coalescing into a radiant red orb.

King stared at the orb in his hand, his expression were uncharacteristically heavy. Do we really have to go this far?

A single toss of this orb could plunge it into the planet's core, triggering an explosion that would obliterate the entire world. Even detonating it on the surface would carve away a third of the planet.

'Can the boss really handle power like this?'

He glanced at Sukuna, who seemed entranced by the black sun in his hand and his eyes were gleaming with a dangerous fervor. King wanted to shout, Let's call it quits!

"King, I won't lose this time!" Sukuna declared, his piercing gaze locking onto King, who tensed instinctively.

Clearing his throat, King tried to reason, "Hey, maybe we can.."

"Enough nonsense! Take this!" Sukuna cut him off, smirking as he raised his hand. With a grip, he compressed the black sun into a single, infinitesimal black dot, clutching it in his palm.

"Die, King!" he roared.

'Hey! What kind of grudge is this?!' 'So I almost killed you last time, but you didn't actually die, right!' King thought.

Exhaustion weighed on him, but with Sukuna's attack imminent, standing still wasn't an option.

The red orb in his hand swelled, pulsing with energy. Endless light and heat broke free from its confines, radiating pure destruction. It surged forward, colliding with the black dot Sukuna had hurled.

"The Stars Bring Evil!"

"The Sky Is Blazing!"
