Chapter 550 - Chapter 550: Eating

Chapter 550: Eating

On the other side, in the valley of Ruskaina Island, beside a small lake under pink flower trees, Yin spread a thick, off-white picnic mat on the grass.

She arranged a picnic basket, flowers, cutlery, cups, gloves, plastic wrap, napkins, garbage bags, and disinfectant wipes.

Various lunch boxes and fruits were laid out.

The scene was instantly filled with a sense of ceremony.

Watching Yin busy herself, Kai found it intriguing.

She now resembled a virtuous wife.

After a while, Yin finished her preparations.

She walked straight to Kai, opened her arms, and threw herself into his embrace.

Kai caught her soft body and sat on the picnic mat.

Before them were various meats, vegetables, and fruits, along with drinks and wine.

Yin, nestled in Kai's arms, picked up a lunch box.

She forked a piece of colorful, aromatic meat and brought it to Kai's mouth.

"It tastes delicious. Yin's cooking skills have improved again!" Kai said.

"I can feel the deep love in it."

Hearing Kai's words, Yin's face flushed, and she gave a shy smile.

No matter how often she was praised, his words always filled her with satisfaction.

After Kai ate a few pieces, he picked up a lunch box and fed Yin in return.

They fed each other like this.

Whoosh!

A gentle breeze blew, carrying fine petals from a nearby flower field to swirl around the flower trees.

With the refreshing floral scent, the petals transformed into flower butterflies dancing around Kai.

On a luxurious piano nearby, the black and white keys began to play automatically.

The melodious melody intertwined with the flower butterflies, accompanied by the breeze and trees.

In this enchanting atmosphere, meal time passed slowly.

Some flirtation was inevitable.

For instance, Yin deliberately smeared juice or cream on the corner of her mouth or fed Kai with food held in her lips.

She used these tactics frequently.

After Kai did it once, she mastered it and employed it more eagerly than he did.

By the end, Kai felt like he was the one being "eaten."

His cheeks, lips, and neck were kissed countless times.

The meal lasted over an hour, quite long, in fact.

Yin had finished eating, but she wasn't done with him.

As she cleared away the used items and set out new ones, a butterfly made of petals lifted the newspaper from under the flower tree and placed it in Kai's hand.

Kai then teleported a TV from the valley's cabin.

It looked like a television but was far more complex.

Like opening a microwave, Kai opened the TV's mirror door and tossed the thick newspaper into the empty space.

He closed it again.

After a moment, the TV displayed a commentary featuring Morgans' video.

The newspaper's content came to life through Morgans' vivid narration.

This was the TV's function: it could scan newspapers, comics, or manga and have the most suitable characters narrate them vividly.

It turned newspapers into TV news and comics into animations, making them easy to understand.

However, using the TV had side effects.

"Master, master! Your dear little Jin is here!"

"Don't you miss me so much? Is dinner ready yet?"

"I knew it! How could I, the TV's guardian, not have food to eat?"

"Yin finally made my meal. I'm so touched!"

Jin, who had been leaning on Kai, saw the food on the picnic mat and nearly drooled.

Yin wasn't surprised by Jin's sudden appearance.

This TV was created by Jin out of boredom.

She called herself the TV fairy Jin, the guardian of the TV.

Using the TV always summoned her.

That's why Kai hadn't used it during the meal.

Yin didn't want Jin interrupting their private moment.

Every time they finished eating, Yin felt invigorated.

No wonder Jin was moved, seeing Yin had prepared food for her too.

Jin was lazy; asking her to cook was like asking for her life.

But if Kai truly wanted her to, she would.

The taste wasn't bad, but it paled in comparison.

Clatter!

Jin slipped off Kai and quickly grew to full size.

Her once-cute face became mature and alluring.

"Dear master, let us feed you with love…" she said, her voice deliberately loud and sultry.

"Jin, act normal. That voice gives me goosebumps." Kai said.

"Strange, Master with your current strength you still get goosebumps?" Jin teased.

Her attention then shifted elsewhere.

"Haha, I can simulate it." she said, playfully blaming Kai after his comment.

"Master really doesn't appreciate charm. My voice is quite suave now."

"No, thanks! I like your normal voice much better." Kai replied.

Perhaps because Jin looked more mature after growing, her former playful, mini demeanor had turned captivating.

Appearance truly mattered.

Kai and Jin dined together as time passed.

Kai finished watching Morgans' TV news.

Watching it this way was indeed more enjoyable and entertaining.

He relished the broadcast's content.

He had been paying attention to yesterday's Mythical Beast Conference.

After all, he had been somewhat involved with Mythical Beast Island.

Occasionally, he visited to address Orochimaru's questions.

He had even handled some Mythical beasts.

Of course, only Orochimaru would notice his presence.

Unless Kai chose to be seen, others wouldn't notice him, even if he stood before them or struck them.

They'd rationalize it themselves.

It was a form of forced rationalization.

In a way, everyone else was like a brain in a vat, while Kai was outside it.

Understanding it this way wasn't too far off.
