After Alex took her to his hut and used healing magic on her, he thought to himself, "Weird… even after healing her wounds, she doesn't look fine."
"It seems she's going to die soon, but why? Her wounds were severe, but I've already healed them with magic," Alex thought as he checked her pulse.
"Oh no! She's been poisoned — and severely," he exclaimed.
"But what kind of poison is this?" He examined her symptoms closely, sensing the fluctuations in her mana.
Alex's eyes widened in shock.
"Damn, this is a rare slow-acting poison. It can be easily mixed into food and is extremely difficult to detect. It seems this lady was betrayed, by some close persons" he muttered, looking down at the unconscious girl with a sad expression.
"By her looks, she's no older than twenty-five, yet she already has enemies," he sighed.
From her anatomy, he could tell she was from the demon tribe — but that didn't matter to him.
It wasn't wartime yet, and as a doctor, he couldn't abandon a patient, even one with such little chance of survival.

The herbs needed to counter this kind of poison were as rare as finding a loyal girl in bar— at least, that's what he used to say in his previous world.
'This girl is lucky,' Alex thought.
'I found some of those herbs growing on my farm just last month by pure chance.' He couldn't help but be amazed at her fortune.
Without wasting any more time, he began gathering the herbs himself — though he did so with a heavy heart, knowing how rare they were and how little he understood about cultivating them.
After collecting the herbs, he began the process of brewing an antidote.
Six long hours of work later, Alex finally managed to extract the active ingredients from the herbs.
(A/N: Ayurvedic medicines always take a long time to prepare.)
He cleaned her wounds carefully but didn't touch her clothes — he'd seen enough anime to know that might lead to misunderstandings.
"I don't have that so-called protagonist aura to get out of trouble like that," he muttered to himself with a wry smile.
After cleaning the blood from her face, he gently lifted her head and brought a cup of the potion to her lips.
Alex started feeding her potion, the unconscious girl drink it sub consciously.
"It will take sometime for her to heal maybe some weeks" Alex muttered.
After few days of taking care of her, cleaning her body without removing her clothes, making her drink the potion, as Alex was cooking soup by evening, she opened her eyes.
As she woke up groggy, she looked around confused, as memory start to seep inside, she becomes guarded, she checked her body and clothes, all seems fine, she looked around and saw Alex inside kitchen, she becomes aware and was ready to attack, she tried to stand up but her weak body gave up and she fell onto floor.
Sensing the movement behind him, Alex turned back "huh? You woke up" Alex hurried to her "silly don't move just after you woke up, your body is still weak due to long term exposion to poision inside your body.
She hissed in defence as Alex was about to help her took back to bed "stay away you human, I will kill you if you get close".
*Sigh* "you can't stand up and you are going to kill me seriously?? Use your brain atleast if i wanted to harm you, then i might have already done that when you were unconscious, I am a healer silly and I helped you" Alex moved towards her slowly trying to calm her down.
She let her guard down a bit and let him help her. Alex gently picked her and placed back in the bed.
"Well that's like a good girl " Alex patted her head. She turned her head wanting to bite his head.
"Hehe okay okay, well you woke up at great time, I was preparing delicious soup, so I will bring it to you" Alex went to kitchen to take a bowl of soup for her.
"I am a demon, you know"
"Yes i know"
"You know?? And still helped me, do you have a death wish??, you know even if we are at peace but nobody will know if a demon eat you right now".
"Well it was my responsibility as healer to help you and i fulfilled it, do what you want"
"You are either so brave or so stupid" she said while looking away, then shakes her head, nobody knows what was going into that head of hers.
"I will take it as compliment, now stop talking and let me feed you this delicious soup" Alex took spoon and blew it to cool down the vot soup and took it to her mouth.
"Humph! You punny human!! I am not a child!!! I can drink by myself!!" She tried to lift her hand but she couldn't.
*Sighs* " you can't move your body silly now shut up and drink it" Alex said sternly.
She quite down at Alex serious face, blushing, and let him feed her.
"Yeah that's like a good girl"
"I AM NOT A CHILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
