Chapter 17 - ch 017 Stand up for him

"Come out with me," Chu Han said, his face darkened and a hint of anger in his voice.

Chu Han took Chu Ci's hand and directly pulled her out of the classroom

At this moment, the few students in Class 5 looked at Chu Ci and Chu Han curiously.

'What's going on?'

This boy seems to be Chu Han from the first year of high school. He is quite famous. He has good looks and loves sports, and he competes with Lu Xing from the experimental class.

What is his relationship with the new female classmate in their class?

In the empty corridor, Chu Han scolded Chu Ci, saying, "You're here to go to school, not to sleep!"

"Let go of me first," Chu Ci replied, her wrist still gripped by Chu Han.

Chu Han then released his hold on Chu Ci's wrist.

She put down her sleeves calmly, covering a red rash on the spot where he was holding her.

Chu Han didn't notice this movement of Chu Ci.

He took a moment to collect his thoughts and continued to persuade Chu Ci: "If something is unclear, just ask. But if you choose to lie down on the table and sleep instead of studying, you'll be letting yourself down. You've never had the chance to learn before, and now that the opportunity is here, why not take advantage of it?"

"Yeah." Chu Ci's reaction was light, and her face was calm.

Chu Han suppressed his unhappiness, trying to calm his tone as much as possible as he patiently reasoned with Chu Ci. "Learning isn't just about dealing with grandpa; it's for your own benefit. You can't think that simply inheriting from grandpa will allow you to live comfortably for the rest of your life without putting in any effort, right?"

"Ok."

Chu Ci's reaction was very weak and seemed almost perfunctory. He couldn't tell if she was actually listening. Chu Han frowned, feeling both angry and helpless regarding Chu Ci's behavior. He decided to let it go; he couldn't afford to be too anxious. She had spent eighteen years in that environment, so how could he expect her to change overnight?

"By the way, Lin Nuo is not a good person. Stay away from him," he advised.

"I will find the teacher to change your position in a while."

"I won't change." Chu Ci refused.

"Why? Do you know how dangerous Lin Nuo is? There is nothing he dare not do."

"I think he is not as bad as you said." Chu Ci defended Lin Nuo.

Although she had only met Lin Nuo on the first day, she didn't know much about Lin Nuo.

But since the system judged him to be a good person for three incarnations, it at least shows that he was a good person who accumulated a lot of merit in the previous three lives.

"You only saw him for the first time, and you don't know what kind of things he has done before." Chu Han seriously suspected that Chu Ci was confused by Lin Nuo's appearance.

"Then have you seen him do bad things with your own eyes?" Chu Ci asked rhetorically.

Chu Han was stunned for a moment, and then retorted: "Whether he really kills and sets fire, he doesn't study well in school, sleeps all day, and contradicts the teacher. These are all facts."

"What you said can only show that he is not a good student, but it cannot show that he is not a good person."

"Why are you..." Chu Han frowned, and the more he talked to Chu Ci, the more irritable he became.

Why is it so difficult to communicate with her?

Lin Nuo and Lu Xing had just returned from lunch when they overheard a conversation under the corridor where two students were quarreling. At that time, most of the students were in the canteen. Although Lin Nuo and Lu Xing had gone to the canteen to eat, their meals were delivered to them by a special person, allowing them to skip the line and eat faster than their peers.

As they climbed up the stairs, they suddenly heard someone call out "Lin Nuo," prompting both of them to stop. They then listened as Chu Ci rebutted Chu Han's remarks. Lin Nuo was surprised that his new deskmate would stand up for him in this way.
