"You don't know how to play the game, do you?" Kenji folded his arms.
"Nobody does " She bit into a slice of pie. "Your Mom is the best."
"No, I think your mom is better.'" Kenzo said.
"Well, we can agree that both our moms are amazing." Kenji nodded.
Zuri hurriedly packed up the game. She didn't want her mom to catch them. They brushed their teeth and climbed onto the bed.
"I can't believe we would share the same bed again." Kenji lamented.
"If you have a problem," She snuggled up to Kenzo. "You can sleep on the floor."
"Nope, I'm good." He joined them on the bed and stared at the ceiling. "It feels like it was only yesterday when we knew each other as strangers."
"Yeah, I'm so happy I met you two." She rubbed their heads.
"I'm going to sleep now." Kenji rolled over and wrapped himself in a blanket.
Zuri couldn't sleep and slid out of the bed. Taking her stethoscope, she went to the backyard and set it up. She drew a bit in her Idea Book and stopped when she heard footsteps.
"Calm down." Kenzo emerged from the shadows. "It's only me."
"Oh." She turned her attention back to hr stethoscope. "Can't sleep?"
"Yeah." He sat beside her. "I'm just worrying about you."
"I have piece of advice for you." She looked away from the stethoscope. "I'm not worth your worrying. I'm not that important anyway. If I am going to marry into one of the wealthiest family, I will have to deal with it."
"Even though, I'm also worried about your other form." Kenzo looked down. "My brothers and I love you too much to let you go and I don't want to risk getting you stressed and..."
Zuri cut him short. "You also can't risk getting involved with me. My father left my mom for some reason and she never told me anything about being entangled with the Damari family. I'm smart enough to figure it out. The fact that I haven't spoken to my dad or seen him is enough to tell me that his hiding to protect us from something."
"From what?"
"That is what I don't know." She sighed. "This is so..."
"Stressful." He held her hands and hugged her. "I can feel your heartbeat.
"You really are an odd one." She said.
"Compared to you, I'm perfectly normal."
