Chapter 6 - Allen and Kimberly

Kimberly led her boyfriend to what looked like a wooded area. There were trees all around them. The duo walked to a bench that had a stump to the right of it. Kimberly sat closest to the stump

While Allen sat next to her.

"I'm here for you, Allen. You don't have to tell me what's bothering you, but just know that I'm here." Allen looked at his girlfriend and saw concern in her eyes.

He inwardly sighed. He hated making those he loved worry about him. Obviously, he couldn't tell her the full truth. Not yet, but he could at least tell her what was bothering him.

"Today is the anniversary…of the day my parents died." Allen told her with a look of sorrow on his face.

Kimberly looked at him sadly. There was no pity, but she was worried for her boyfriend. She couldn't imagine the amount of pain he was in. She did the only thing that came to mind.

She moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around him. Allen was surprised by the skin contact at first but eventually welcomed it.

Allen closed his eyes and placed a hand over her hand. Kimberly looked at him with curiosity. After a couple of seconds, he opened his eyes and glanced at her. Slowly, he smiled.

"Thank you, Kimberly."

The brunette gave him a smile.

"I love you."

Kimberly looked at him with shock. She could tell from the expression on his face that he meant every word. Suddenly, a smile stretched across her beautiful features before she leaned in and pressed her lips against his.

Allen closed his eyes as he returned the kiss. Their lips parted multiple times throughout the kiss, which lasted no longer than thirty seconds.

Kimberly stared into her boyfriend's eyes and smiled at him softly. "I love you too. You can talk to me about anything. When you're in pain…when you're suffering. Talk to me. I just want you to be happy and safe."

Allen wrapped her in a hug. "I am."

Kimberly closed her eyes, enjoying the embrace. 'Allen.' She thought, smiling once again.

…..

Later that night

Allen was in cloud nine. His relationship with his girlfriend had never been better. After hanging out with her for a few hours he walked her home before going to train his students. Now he was patrolling the city for any signs of Demons. He had encountered several tonight. Nothing he couldn't handle of course.

He wanted to protect the city. To keep those he loved safe. He'd do anything in order for that to happen.

"Huh?" Allen sniffed the air before widening his eyes. Immediately he began to take off running utilizing bizarre speeds. "This isn't good. I have to hurry!"

….

Piper was in a battle with a particularly strong Demon. Blowing him up did no good and he was so fast that she couldn't call for her sisters to help.

Things were looking pretty bleak. If she didn't turn this battle around she'd probably die.

'I can't die here….Wyatt…..'

The Demon walked towards her with an evil smirk on his face. He held his hands out and an energy ball formed in both hands.

"You aren't surviving this, charmed one."

"Well I don't know about that." Came a voice from behind.

"What-" before the Demon could figure out what was going on a ball of flames caused him to explode.

Piper looked at her savior with shock before narrowing her eyes. "Allen." She said his name with such bitterness and anger. "Where's that little girl?"

Allen rose a brow. "Who?"

"The blonde girl. Phoebe had a vision. What did you do to that poor little girl?!"

Allen blinked. "Oh, her. That's neither here nor there. You best be getting home, you know with your sisters where you're safe."

"And you're just going to let me, Demon?"

Allen sighed. "I save you and this is the thanks I get?"

"Why would you, a Demon come to my rescue?"

Allen stared at her. "I'm only half Demon."

"What?" Piper asked with shock written all over her face.

"My mother is-was human."

Piper frowned at the way he worded that. His mother was dead? "Does that mean we've been trying to kill a child?"

"I'm no child, Piper." Allen stated. "A teenager, maybe. Due to the way I grew up, I was forced to mature faster. All I can say for now is that your life is essential to my goals."

Piper was confused as ever. "Why does my life matter to you?"

Allen frowned. "If it makes you feel better, that little girl isn't dead."

Piper looked at him with surprise.

"Seriously. What would I gain from killing a child?"

"Her ability?"

Allen shook his head. "Just be glad that you're alive, Piper. You were lucky I was in the area."

"Again, why save me?"

Allen smiled. "Bye, A-Piper." He frowned once again before blinked to another location.

Piper narrowed her eyes at the slip up. What did he try to say? Shrugging her shoulders she made her way towards her car which was nearby. She had to get home. She did think about calling her sisters but decided against it. She thought it would be better if she told them

In person.

…..

Phoebe who held baby Wyatt in her arms stared at her sister in disbelief. "Obviously he's lying, Piper! There's no way he cares about your life! What reason would there be for him to keep you alive? Maybe he does have a plan mapped out, you know it's our job to stop him. Half Demon or not."

"Phoebe. He's just a kid. A teenager."

Phoebe closed her eyes. "Still, he has to die."

"Phoebe! That goes against everything we believe in. We don't kill kids."

"He's a Demon, Piper. If we let him live, lives will be lost."

Piper frowned. She didn't like this. For what reason did Allen save her? Why did her life hinge on his plans? What was he plotting?

"Phoebe. You're an empath. What did you feel when, well you know…"

"Bloodlust. Nothing more."

Piper sighed. "I see."
