Once I got to work. I hadn't even settled down yet when Mavis barged into my office. "Welcome madam and sorry for barging in but I... " Get the board room ready for a meeting with the designig team in thirty minutes time. I cut in before she could finish what she was about to say. "Noted madam" was all she said and headed out. When she left I took my sketch book got coffee for myself and finished up with my designs. I was so proud of myself at this moment.
The time for the meeting arrived and I made my way to the board room. I could see that everyone was waiting to see what I had or hear what I had to say. I walked as elegantly as always whiles Mavis held my bag which constained my sto the board room. Once I got there everyone was seated waiting for me. Mavis placed my bag on the table and I took my seat after that. I could see they were all curious on what I was about to do next. "Good day guys" I said causally. They all responded in unison. "Good day Madam"." I am sure you all know why I called for this meeting but before I do anything I would like to know if anyone has any designs for the project or any idea, draft, just anything unique".They were all silent for a moment then one designer, Seth got up and ushered to show some designs he had been working on. He showed us the designs and, My God! They weren't bad at all but they weren't the designs we needed for the project. "Seth these designs are incredible but they're not in line with the theme" I said. " But they will surely be used for next months fashion show"I add encouragingly. "So in the absence of any other designs, I'd like Mavis to pass you all my sketch book so y'all can see what I've been working on".I said. As the book pass I could see the amassed looks on their faces. Also the gasps and nodds they all gave. " Miss Jasmine how do you come up with these wonderful designs "Seth said after the he had looked at the sketches. I giggled and said" I don't know but I think it comes naturally"."So in the absence of anything else I'd like the design team to take a deeper look into my designs and get it ready for tomorrow ".I said and they nodded" Also we have to start working on Seth's designs too, the fashion show is not far from now ".Okay miss Jasmine".they all replied. " So since one has anything else to say I'd like to go and continue the preparation for Tomorrow's meeting and maybe also rest a little so I end the meeting ".I said the walked out and then later they followed suit.
One thing about me is in my company everyone is treated equally and given a fair chance also everyone's idea is listened to and if it's good it's used. I've always dreamt of creating a company as such. I always made sure my employees have a say and agree with me willingly. This is the only way to ensure peace and fun here. And it's working perfectly.
