The distance to the 'Divine Sight' realm, which is about equivalent to the 'Breath of All Things,' was originally only a hair's breadth away.
And to take that critical step without resorting to the crooked path of 'directly looking at God,' relying purely on one's own efforts, there was only one trick:
"Empty your cup, so it may be filled again. Only through emptiness can one become whole."
It was the transcendent state of casting aside all distractions and concentrating to the utmost, where one learns a move and then forgets it.
When Byron faced Goddess Freya, that fully concentrated, all-out thrust had unintentionally shattered the barrier that had stopped so many Swordsmen and Transcendents.
