The confinement nanny arrived shortly after. A nurse came over to sterilize the room. "You can have some water," she instructed, "but you can only eat a proper meal after you pass gas!"
"Tomorrow at eight, take the baby to the third floor for a bath. Then, find the doctor to get the forms for her routine checkup."
Lin Feng memorized it all. "Got it!"
Zhang Yuxi fell asleep again. The single room was spacious, so Lin Feng asked the nurse for an extra bed so he could rest better.
Around seven in the morning, Zhang Yuxi woke up thirsty and was given some water.
"Has the baby eaten?" she asked.
Lin Feng said, "She's had formula. Once your milk comes in, you can start breastfeeding."
