Lin Feng held the little one in his arms while Zhang Yuxi played with a small crab, making the baby giggle. Playing with a child is draining, especially one with so much energy.
After about ten minutes, Zhang Yuxi was getting tired, but the baby was still in high spirits. "Honey, I'm tired," she said. "I don't want to play anymore."
Lin Feng looked around. "You hold him for a bit. There's a place up ahead selling small shovels and buckets. I'll go buy a set so we can take the crab with us."
Zhang Yuxi took the baby. "Okay."
Lin Feng returned shortly, put the crab into the little bucket, and had Zhang Yuxi carry it. All along the way, the baby's attention was glued to the crab, his eyes fixed on the little bucket.
The little bar they remembered was open for business, and its facade had been renovated. They sat down, and Zhang Yuxi ordered a glass of fresh-squeezed juice. Lin Feng ordered a soft drink, the same flavor he always used to get.
