Chapter 111 - Bruce Banner’s Choice

To ensure that the dark magic learned from "Chthon's Notes" would not have any backdoors left by Chthon, Qi Jun spent a full million points of energy to modify all the dark magic! The modified dark magic naturally would no longer have Chthon's backdoors. Qi Jun also added a rule to these dark magic spells, especially the dark soul magic: any creature subjected to Qi Jun's dark soul magic would subtly prioritize Qi Jun's interests.

There wasn't any forced loyalty spell that would make someone recognize Qi Jun as their master after being subjected to dark soul magic, and Qi Jun didn't like such behavior anyway. After all, what if he cast dark soul magic on a creature he despised? Should it also recognize him as its master? That's impossible! Moreover, it's not like there aren't specific loyalty spells among the dark soul magic.

The magic Qi Jun planned to cast on Bruce Banner and Hulk's souls would be the dark soul separation spell, which would subtly influence them to protect Qi Jun's interests. In fact, the advanced biohuman production center and the Red Alert-style barracks Qi Jun had created had all been permanently enchanted with dark soul magic, solving the issue of the biohumans' lack of intelligence and emotional intelligence! Although these biohumans were created with the concept of prioritizing Qi Jun as their master, the permanent dark soul magic still subtly influenced them.

"Have you heard of cloning technology?" Qi Jun asked Bruce Banner.

"Of course, why?" Bruce Banner was a bit confused. Weren't they talking about magic? Why bring up science?

"What do you think the difficulty of cloning a body for you would be?" Qi Jun asked again.

"Ha, does that technology even exist on Earth?" Bruce Banner's first reaction was disbelief. "I have a PhD in biology; how come I haven't heard of it?"

"Cloning humans is a taboo topic," Qi Jun nodded. "But cloning organs has immense medical benefits and tremendous profit potential. So, the research on cloning technology has never stopped and never will. However, this has nothing to do with me cloning a body for you because the technology I'm using isn't from Earth!"

"What? Do you have alien technology?" Bruce Banner was shocked again.

"Of course!" Qi Jun admitted openly. "Do you think magic can't detect life beyond Earth?"

Qi Jun was obviously making this up. Although there might be high-level cloning technology in alien tech, Qi Jun didn't have it now. He was planning to use the Mutation Stone to clone a body for Bruce Banner. Saying this was just to deceive him. Of course, if needed, Qi Jun could spend some energy to materialize relevant information from the Mutation Stone. It just required more energy without a reference.

"Then why is Earth so backward?" Looking at the space station above Venus, Bruce Banner knew very well that Earth's technology couldn't build such a space station! Compared to this, Bruce Banner found it harder to understand why magicians with such power wouldn't help Earth progress.

"Mm-hmm," Qi Jun shrugged. "Maybe they want to keep everything under their control."

From what Qi Jun knew, the three major empires in the universe had existed for at least a hundred thousand years, with wars between them lasting millennia. He couldn't believe that in all that time, no Supreme Sorcerer ever wanted to develop Earth more. Imagine the Ancient One, who lived for hundreds of years. When she was young, Earth was still under feudal rule and might not have even entered the steam age. Sorcerers, especially the Supreme Sorcerers, had the ability for interstellar travel but never brought alien technology back to Earth. Why? Strictly following the Time Stone's instructions? Then don't use it! It's really hard to guess their motives.

"It seems you look down on Earth's sorcerers," Bruce Banner observed.

"Wow, you can tell?" Qi Jun looked surprised at Bruce Banner, who rolled his eyes with his soul. "Those guys on Earth can be called sorcerers? They have the power to fight from a distance but insist on close combat. They should be called magic warriors! Especially Doctor Strange, who could skillfully use wind magic but chose to fight hand-to-hand, letting a regular guy snap his fingers. He's the garbage of sorcerers! No! He's the garbage of garbage!"

Seeing Qi Jun suddenly start ranting, Bruce Banner's soul was embarrassed. He understood the words but couldn't grasp the meaning. "Hulk! Smash garbage!" Hulk, as the other head of the dual-headed soul, was simple. Hearing Qi Jun rant about garbage, he thought he should help his friend clean up.

"Haha, yes! Smash that big garbage!" Qi Jun laughed, imagining Hulk beating up Doctor Strange.

"Alright, let's get back to business!" Qi Jun said, regaining his composure. "Soul separation requires your sincere willingness; otherwise, there's a risk of failure. Have you thought it through?"

"Hulk willing!" Hulk was naturally willing.

"If your cloning technology is truly perfect, then I'm willing too!" Bruce Banner wasn't as easy to convince as Hulk, but after much thought, he made his choice. "Also, you have to restrain Hulk!"
