KaibaLand had plenty of attractions designed to impress children.
Massive holographic dragons flew above certain sections of the park. Duel Monsters-themed roller coasters twisted through artificial castles. Mechanical displays recreated famous battles while speakers blasted dramatic music loud enough to be heard across entire plazas.
Jason had somehow become one of the more popular sights in the park.
A reinforced cage stood in the middle of a specially constructed attraction zone, surrounded by thick transparent barriers and several safety rails. Nothing flammable had been placed anywhere near the enclosure. The entire structure had clearly been designed with one purpose in mind.
Inside stood Jason.
A massive Blue-Eyes White Dragon statue stood directly opposite the cage.
Its mouth pointed toward Jason.
A large red button had been installed outside the safety barrier.
The golden power of the Winged Dragon of Ra had done something catastrophic to his nervous system. Whatever ancient magic had flooded through him hadn't killed him. Instead, his overwhelmed brain had effectively stopped communicating properly with the rest of his body.
The result was bizarre.
Jason still possessed awareness.
Unfortunately, everything below his neck might as well have been carved from marble.
Worse, whatever Ra had done had transformed his body into something practically indestructible.
Naturally, Seto Kaiba had immediately found a productive application.
A little boy slammed both hands onto the enormous red button positioned beside the safety railing.
Mechanical gears groaned somewhere beneath the platform.
Inside the reinforced cage ahead of him, the enormous Blue-Eyes White Dragon statue slowly opened its jaws.
A brilliant blue light gathered within the dragon statue's mouth.
Fire exploded from the Blue-Eyes statue.
Jason disappeared beneath the flames.
Pain tore through him immediately.
The fact that he no longer possessed ordinary flesh did nothing to lessen it. The sensation of fire rolling across his face and body registered as though he were still made of flesh and blood.
Every second burned.
Yet there was no visible reaction.
Jason's face remained locked in the same furious expression, carved permanently into stone. Even when the pain became unbearable, he remained completely motionless, indistinguishable from an ordinary statue.
Kaiba's hand slowly clenched into a fist.
That was exactly why the academy had to exist,It was a close call with Jason.
The old era, where raw talent alone could carry a duelist to victory, was finished.
The future would demand more.
It would demand duelists willing to put everything on the line to win. Duelists capable of facing spirits that no longer obeyed rules, cards, or conventional logic. People strong enough to stand before monsters, ancient powers, and gods without losing themselves in the process.
Kaiba glanced back toward Jason's stone form one final time.
Seto Kaiba moved through the underground laboratory with long, deliberate strides, the sharp echo of his shoes striking metal floors reverberating through the sterile corridors. The facility lay hidden beneath the island's surface, carved deep into bedrock and reinforced with KaibaCorp alloys strong enough to withstand both seismic activity and supernatural interference. Cold white lights flickered on automatically as he passed, illuminating walls lined with holographic screens, suspended conduits, and sealed chambers humming with restrained power.
This lab was not merely a research center. It was a monument to obsession.
Kaiba's expression was tightly controlled, as it always was, but subtle tension sat beneath the surface—visible only in the way his jaw clenched slightly or how his eyes lingered a fraction of a second too long on certain displays. His cobalt-blue eyes scanned the data streams scrolling endlessly across the holograms: equations layered atop spell matrices, quantum schematics interwoven with ancient symbols. This was Jason's work. Or rather, the fragments of it Kaiba had managed to salvage after the disaster.
"Isekai transfer theory," Kaiba muttered, stopping in front of the largest central console.
Jason had called it "cross-dimensional displacement technology," a fusion of advanced science and forbidden spirit-world mechanics. Kaiba had dismissed it at first—another example of Jason's arrogance, his belief that intellect alone could transcend limits. And yet… it had worked. Too well.
Kaiba raised a hand, fingers slicing through the air as holograms expanded outward. A three-dimensional model of overlapping worlds appeared: Earth, the Spirit World, and multiple unstable pocket dimensions layered between them like shattered glass. Red warning glyphs pulsed at the fracture points.
Jason's isekai tech hadn't just opened doors. It had ripped them off their hinges.
Kaiba's lips pressed into a thin line as memories surfaced unbidden.
Connor. Odion. Yugi.
Vanished in the chaos that followed the collapse of the barrier, pulled into unknown realms when Jason sent them away in spite. Kaiba's fingers curled slowly into a fist at his side. He refused to believe they were dead. Especially Yugi. No—someone like Yugi Mutou didn't simply disappear. The King of Games was still out there somewhere, and Kaiba would not accept any reality where their rematch remained uncompleted.
His reflection shimmered faintly in the transparent screen before him. The sharp angles of his face looked more severe under the lab's lighting, shadows carving deeper lines beneath his eyes. He hadn't slept much. That was nothing new. But now there was something else behind his gaze—an impatience bordering on fury, restrained only by iron discipline.
"I will finish that duel," Kaiba said quietly, voice low but absolute. "No matter what it takes."
He swiped to another display. Footage played of Jason prior to his punishment—animated, intense, eyes blazing with manic confidence as he explained himself. Kaiba watched without blinking. Jason's facial expressions shifted rapidly in the recording: excitement, obsession, triumph. Not once did he show doubt.
"Arrogant fool," Kaiba scoffed.
Still, he couldn't deny the genius behind the madness. Jason had managed to quantify aspects of the Spirit World that even ancient duelists had only described through myth. Energy readings, resonance patterns, probability collapse—Jason had turned divine phenomena into data.
Kaiba leaned closer, eyes narrowing as he studied a complex array of symbols rotating slowly in midair.
"This is it…" he murmured.
A convergence algorithm—designed to locate displaced souls across dimensions by tracking their unique duel energy signatures. In theory, every duelist left an imprint, a metaphysical fingerprint shaped by their deck, their spirit, and their bond with their monsters.
If Jason was right, then Yugi's signature—intertwined with the Pharaoh's ancient power—would be unmistakable.
Kaiba's expression shifted, just slightly. His brows drew together, and for a fleeting moment something like concern crossed his face before being buried under resolve.
"Yugi," he said under his breath, the name carrying more weight than he would ever admit aloud.
Kaiba slammed his palm down onto the console.
The lab responded instantly, stabilizers engaging as energy surged. A faint vibration rippled through the floor. Kaiba exhaled sharply through his nose, regaining control.
"I don't care where you are," he said coldly. "I will bring you back. And when I do, I'll defeat you."

I've started writing a new story for anyone interested in checking out another one of my fanfics. This story will follow my character, John Kaisen, who possesses the Comedian Cursed Technique from Jujutsu Kaisen.
The title is I Asked a Genie for Three Wishes and Got Scammed
