Silvia was happy to gently pull him down to her bed, pulling him into one of the first hugs she had ever given him. Silvia held him a little too tightly despite her waning strength, desperation in every gesture.
Her helplessness when Angelo was taken that morning had hurt more than getting her knee shot out. She had worked hard to build the life she had, worked even harder to acquire power, and it hadn't nearly been enough.
Silvia's smile faded away as she felt Angelo trembling in her arms, he clung to her just as desperately, his familiar scent soothing. She didn't pull away until he was well and ready, feeling his tears wet the neckline of the hospital gown she had on.
