"The Mafia is dangerous for him," Jael decided to pad on to Rae's lies. "We'll set him up in a safe house in Central Area, get him a decent job."
The hesitance on Caspian's face eased at that, "Oh, okay. I'll… I'll go check up on the kitchens."
Jael watched him walk off, oversized sweater sleeves rolled up. It had seemed like there was something more he wanted to say.
"Do you prefer Omegas?" Rae's voice came from behind him.
Jael turned around to see that the kid's sharp gaze was fixed on Caspian, who rounded a corner a short while later.
He just tossed the bundle of clothes at him, ignoring his words. "You're coming out with me tonight."
Rae caught the clothes, "Did you buy this for me?" He asked with a bright smile.
"No," Jael coldly shut down his fantasies, "They're Caspian's."
He didn't mention that they were definitely brand new clothes, never worn before.
Rae deflated, eyeing up Jael openly, "Can't I wear your shirt instead?"
