[Location: Unknown - ??? Time]
Beneath the red sky, in a land mired by death, stands a tall tower.
An old, stone building resting atop the chamber harboring all possible futures. An abode fit only for the likes of which live there.
Atop the weathered structure, gazing out upon this lifeless range, is a woman.
Garbed in a dark cloth, her blackened fingers press together in meditation. Delicately, she folds shut her one unfractured eye.
Entering a realm of her own subconscious, her body idles in the breathless wind.
Hours march onward, carrying with them the rainless clouds.
After her crossing is complete, she greets the world once again.
Succeeding a solemn study, she descends back down the stairs, into the veiled dwelling. Her footsteps are soundless through the candlelit halls.
She arrives at a door. Hesitating for a brief moment, she knocks quietly on the material.
"Are you in?" Her voice, naturally somber yet clear, calls out to the only other.
A time passes, until a ruffle is heard beyond the wall.
Following the sound, she carefully presses open the entrance.
Not at all to her surprise, inside the colorful room sits an angelic figure. Serenely off in her own realm is a girl with shimmering dirty blonde hair.
The scarred woman smiles, basking in the warmth of the girl. Peeling back her hood, she reveals her parted, dark hair.
"I'm home, Allura."
Her words release the girl from her daze. Her azure eyes unfurl, granting her vision once more.
Upon regaining her senses, she rotates and finds the cloaked woman. Instantly, her beautiful, tired complexion lights up.
Stumbling up with her dress, Allura runs over to the woman and wraps her arms around her.
"You're back!" The girl's voice emits kindness and warmth. "How was your trip?!"
"It was nice," the woman places her concealed arms around the girl. "Though I heard you've been up to more trouble."
Still hugging the cloaked figure, Allura laughs awkwardly.
"W-what do you mean?"
Rubbing her palm into the girl's scalp, the woman escapes her grasp and is put further at ease by the girl's playfulness.
"You brought more humans into this world, didn't you?"
"...Eh..."
"Geez," she sighs. "You know you're just supposed to send them to the Convergence."
"Sorry."
"You even brought three in one day!"
"Aha... Sorry..." The girl's features dampen. While she doesn't regret her decision, her guilt for disappointing the scarred woman is evident.
"...You're too kind," she smiles warmly. "I'll let you off the hook this time, but please... You-"
knock knock knock
...
Both of them stare in confusion at each other.
Who could possibly be knocking at their door?
In this uninhabited, exanimate land...
"Stay here..."
The cloaked woman descends to the rarely used front door.
Hesitantly, she approaches the handle. With a deep sigh, she presses open the door.
And on the other side is a man...
A man with tied-back silver hair...
And cold, crimson eyes.
...
"Have you decided?"
