The ring of the bell reverberates through walls of the Feud Pin and up out of the giant open ceiling above the arena. Alix summoned the Abyssal Sea to surround her feet to steady her self on this ship. She shoots forward with the water being her way of movement. Kent eyebrow's lifted slightly amused by the sight. Though, he was not intimidated.
He opened his right hand, calling the ice spear and gently scrubbed the tip of the spear against the wooden floor. He twirled the spear in hand then slammed it into the planks. "Glacial Rise!" From the planks several more ice spears began to rise through the wood moving to meet Alix in the middle of her rush.
Alix quickly used the abyssal sea to move to the side, avoiding the wave of ice spears. Kent then broke the spear in front of him in half and kicked it at Alix. She quickly moved to avoid the attack causing the spear to pierce through the arena wall. Kent continued his attack repeating his previous action with the rest of the summoned spears.
Alix seemed to have become one with the water as she avoided the spears with relative ease. She then raised the water at her feet into a wave and rushed toward Kent. Kent nodded once again impressed by the girl's display.
"You've got some fun party tricks!" Kent then spun with the ice spear in his hand before attacking the wave that Alix was riding on with a rising strike. The wave split in half and the part that had been hit froze but Alix had planned for this.
She had already jumped away from the wave and was now in the air directly above Kent holding a spell catalyst. "Omnia Smash." She activated the catalyst and a pair of clasped ethereal hands shot down at Kent slamming into the ground he was standing on as he avoided the attack.
While still in the air, Alix had already grabbed another catalyst and activated," Omnia Faust" straight in the direction that Kent had jumped. Kent swung his spear parrying the spell away then immediately threw the ice spear straight at Alix.
Alix's eyes narrowed as she summoned a tendril of abyssal sea to catch the spear to prevent herself from taking damage. As soon as the tendril caught the spear it froze then shattered as a second spear crashed right through it. Luckily, Alix had bought just enough time to land and dove to the side to avoid the spear.
She rolled to catch herself and shot her gaze to where Kent was standing. Kent casually held his right hand up summoning three ice spears above Alix then swung his hand down causing them to fall.
Alix channeled her Lis into her body and punched to break the first spear only for her to feel her hand begin to freeze immediately. This did not discourage Alix, however, as she broke each of the spears with one hit then immediately activated her gloves to the fire affinity hoping to defrost her hands.
Kent summoned another ice spear to his hand and started to slowly twirl the spear around his body. "You're really good! I guess I should pick up the pace!" Kent started to speed up the spinning of his spear while simultaneously summoning more ice spears in the air and launching them at Alix.
Alix recalled Abyssal Sea: Racing Rapids to her feet and dodged each spear fired at her while also launching Omnia Fausts at Kent to try to stop him from doing whatever he was doing. Kent once again easily blocked the attacks with his spear not even needing to stop spinning it to stop the attacks. She ended up racing all around the arena, barely dodging Kent's attacks while looking for an opening.
As Kent spun the spear faster and faster it started to shimmer with that icy energy more and more. The arena looked as though it was in a freezer as a cold fog rolled across the ground. Alix was uncertain what the boy was planning so she continued dodging the spears but stayed vigilant. She was ready for anything that came at her.
"This should be enough for now." Kent said with a bit of strain in his voice. "Now it's time for the storm!" Kent slid his hand down the shaft to the butt end allowing him to swing the full length of the spear.
He would sweep the spear low, then lift it as he turned only to sweep it back low again. As he did this he began to quickly pick up speed and the fog on the ground as it began to get pulled in by his inflow. The only plus side was that while doing this he could no longer constantly attack Alix giving her plenty time to find a solution.
And it didn't take more than a second for her to come up with one. Alix reached into her bag and pulled out a pair of catalysts. She poured Lis into them simultaneously activating them both as they burned away into feathers.
The feather started to float upward but were pulled into Kent's spin and all moved directly at him. Kent's icy tornado instantly became consumed in flames as the feathers gathered within it. Alix then used her gloves to form a small ball of fire and tossed it into the midst.
The small orb gently was sucked into the attack and made contact with one of the feathers within triggering the secondary effect of these feathers...
Explosions. A chain reaction of explosions that climbed the tornado and likely caused massive damage to whoever was within it. "Man that would have hurt!"
Alix heard a voice from behind all the smoke and watched as Kent walked through it completely uninjured. "Good thing I wasn't in there or that would have been hell!" Alix's eyes widened and her jaw even dropped.
"How the hell did you avoid that?" Kent looked at his shocked opponent and shrugged.
"I just jumped out when those feathers got in there. It wasn't anything crazy." Alix slapped her palm against her face.
'Why did I even ask?' Alix took a breath to calm down. She honestly had no idea what Kent could do before this fight so every move he made was very impressive. After all, how could she have ever expected Kent to be someone else with a technique that wasn't quite magic.
Side note she has got to come up with a better name for those.
Kent decided he would be the first to attack this time once again summoning an ice spear to his hand and throwing it at Alix. Alix went to dodge it like she normally does but this time a second spear shot out of the first spear straight at Alix. Alix reacted quickly and managed to dodge the second spear when a third spear shot out of the second one.
Alix dodged again when she felt something sharp and cold hit her in the back. She turned and it was another one but this one was thrown by Kent. 'Not very original in his methods of attack." Alix pulled he spear out of her back despite it freezing her hand a bit.
'Hey it may not be very complex but it's working!" Mo commented.
'Just shut up and let me fight." Alix turned to Kent who was already holding a new spear and spinning it around his hand.
"You regrettin' anything yet, Alix?" Alix stood up straight and took a deep breath in.
"No."
"Of course you ar-" Alix raised her hand to cut Kent off.
"But you will regret accepting this deal in just a second." Alix clenched her fist at Kent which seemed to be some sort of taunting gesture to him.
"So we're taunting now? Well why don't I-Gah!" Kent was knocked off balance by what felt like a swift kick to the back. But that shouldn't be possible. Alix was still standing-
"Oof!" This time there was a punch to his side interrupting his thoughts. 'What the hell is happening?!' Alix continued to stand with her hand clenched in front of her. The reason? Well, throughout the fight she had set up several catalysts on the walls of the arena and attached very thin mana conducting strings to them so that she could activate them at any time.
An Alix classic.
Now was the time! Each catalyst burned away after it was activated. Kent wanted to block or dodge but whenever he would manage to move he would be hit again. It was like he was locked in a cage covered in spikes. Every move he made did him more harm than help.
Alix then raised her other hand and started to drag her finger across the space in front of her. As she did so, small symbols appeared and moved slowly forming a pair of sorcery circles. Once both circles were fully formed Alix called out the name of the spell.
Di-Igneous: Vetter Pertundere
The circles burned with power releasing hundreds of burning feathers from each one. The feathers flew straight at Kent and dug through his skin. He groaned in pain from just a few and immediately knew something was wrong. He summoned the water spear to his hand for the first time this entire fight and used it to try to stop anymore feathers from piercing his flesh.
It was very difficult however as, the feathers seemed determined to dig into him and the fists and feet were still flying at him from every directions. Kent summoned a second spear to his other hand to help him fight off both attacks.
"Okay! Maybe I underestimated you a bit!" Kent glanced in Alix's direction still fighting for his life only to see Alix activating another spell. She had just finished making her second pair of circles and activated them.
Di-Igneous: Vetter Vallen
The familiar spell activated sending several more feathers of fire mana into the air then directly to the ground. covering the entire arena. The entire arena looked like chaos at this point. Kent stood spinning two spears to block stabbing feathers and a barrage of ethereal punches and kicks not to mention the ground being covered with feathers that he knows explode.
"Okay! Everything's fine! I just need to watch my step, watch my back, and keep keeping these feathers out of me! That's easy enough!" Despite Kent's confident declaration he was drenched in sweat from exhaustion and the heat from the feathers.
So imagine the look on his face when Alix summoned four tendrils of dark water with an indifferent look on her face. 'Are you kidding me? There's more?!'
Yes Kent, there is more.
Each tendril extended out and grabbed Kent onto each of his four limbs. He wanted to try to avoid them but he was so busy with everything else happening right now that you'll have to forgive his carelessness.
The instant that he was caught the feather's stuck into his body making him scream in pain. The punches and kicks had yet to cease and Alix started gathering the feathers on the ground with her gloves looking like some sort of fire demon.
"Tell me, Tyrant. Do you concede?" Alix asked once she was a few steps from Kent.
"I guess I hav-"
"You don't? Well, I guess I have no choice but to finish this then."
"Wait, what? No, I want to give up! Mother? Mother!" Alix ignored Kent's screams as she grabbed him, lifted him over her head and shot him into the air using the large orbs of flaming feathers on her hands.
"I SAID I GIVE UUUUPP!" Kent screamed as he flew high into the sky until he made it out of the hole in the roof of the establishment and exploded into lovely fireworks. All of the pirates in the surrounding watched the cascade of explosions with fear in their eyes then slowly shifted their gaze back to Alix.
Alix stood quietly listening to the explosions overhead accompanied by the occasional distant scream. She looked around at the crowd of pirates that were staring at her with their eyes filled with terror. Even Waloe and Shyanne, the two that met her earlier. Alix scoffed at them.
"Calm down. This won't kill him! Now announce the match as over already."
...
"O-oh right, me! Um, I guess the match is done with Alix Ren as the winner." Alix sighed annoyed.
"Finally." She turned on her heels and walked out of the arena nonchalantly. Though not without grabbing the hat that Kent had thrown earlier and putting it on her own head.
Mo asked her to do it.
