Chapter 93 - Prologue

Marine Headquarters, Marineford.

The cold glint of blades and the faint smell of gunpowder filled the air.

Military banners covered the sky.

Tens of thousands of marines stood in solemn formation.

Mighty figures formed an iron curtain before the enormous fortress, collectively guarding the execution platform beneath the "Wall of Justice."

At the edge of the fortress, three wide chairs were placed side by side, symbolizing the highest combat power of the Navy Headquarters. The admirals had been waiting there for some time.

Suddenly, Aokiji yawned, "Why hasn't it started yet?"

Akainu and Kizaru ignored him, silently crossing their legs and scanning the marine formation below.

Left flank: thirty thousand troops!

Right flank: thirty thousand troops!

Center: forty thousand troops!

A grand total of one hundred thousand marines, arranged here.

On the execution platform, Fleet Admiral Sengoku stood with his arms crossed.

Beside him sat a muscular old man with the rank of vice admiral, none other than the "Hero of the Navy"—Monkey D. Garp.

"Such a military force, as brilliant as the sun," Sengoku said in a deep voice. "Victory will surely belong to the navy!"

Garp remained silent.

Sengoku looked down at his old friend, lowering his voice intentionally, "Garp, do you remember what I told you before?"

"Heh," Garp shrugged. "I can't promise anything, Sengoku."

"You are the hero of the navy," Sengoku said earnestly, "The title of 'hero' cannot bear any blemish."

"What? What did you say? I can't hear you," Garp replied, feigning nonchalance as he picked his nose.

However, if one looked closely, they would see that despite the old man's usual carefree expression, there was a hint of determination deep in his weathered eyes.

That was the resolve to stand against thousands, never retreating.

He, Monkey D. Garp, owed nothing to the Navy!

"We've been comrades for decades. Don't make this difficult for me," Sengoku sighed.

As a comrade-in-arms, he could exchange his life with Garp.

But as Fleet Admiral, he could not tolerate the existence of "seeds of evil" in this world!

With that thought, Sengoku's eyes sharpened. "Bring out the prisoners!"

A low, resonant sound echoed as the longhorn blew.

The executioners, already prepared, escorted the prisoners onto the platform.

'Captain' Eustass Kid, 'Straw Hat' Monkey D. Luffy, 'Magician' Basil Hawkins, 'Red Flag' X Drake...

All the "Supernova" pirates captured by Kizaru were present.

Alongside the captains were their crew members.

A total of over a hundred people.

This was a large-scale public execution!

Garp clicked his tongue and, under Sengoku's gaze, walked up to his grandson.

Seeing his disheveled grandson, he didn't hesitate to give him a swift smack on the head, "You little brat, I told you to become a marine, but you refused. Now you're embarrassed, aren't you?"

"Why, Grandpa Garp!" Luffy, bound tightly by Seastone chains, called out weakly, "I don't want to be some stupid marine. I am..."

He deeply breathed, "I am the man who will become the Pirate King!"

I'm captured, and I'm about to die, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to become the Pirate King.

Garp rubbed his forehead in exasperation.

"Hey, Grandpa Garp, if you can't stand seeing Luffy get executed, why not save him!" Nami, also disheveled, urged, "And save us too while you're at it."

Usopp and Chopper nodded repeatedly.

Garp snapped, "It's not that easy. Even if I can take on the three admirals, can you handle a hundred thousand marines and the 'Seven Warlords of the Sea' stationed outside?"

He stood up. "Anyway, I'll do my best to keep you all alive... Whether you survive or not, that's up to luck."

Saying this, Garp smacked Luffy's head again, "You idiot grandson, just seeing you makes me angry."

Luffy: (▼へ▼メ)

"Don't be ungrateful. Because of you, Ace and the Whitebeard Pirates have confirmed their participation in the battle."

Garp's expression suddenly turned serious.

"And your father, Monkey D. Dragon, is coming too."

The old man looked at the hundreds of pirates awaiting execution, then glanced at the hundred thousand marines below the stage, sighing, "A lot of people are going to die this time."

Navy, Warlords of the Sea, Revolutionary Army, Whitebeard Pirates...

A multi-faction battle.

The outcome of this war will change the entire world!

New World, underwater, Moby Dick.

"So, you're going to Marine Headquarters?"

"Yes."

"To save your brother, King Luffy?"

"His name is Luffy, not King Luffy."

"You have to go?"

"Yes."

"I think... even if you don't go, he won't die."

"???"

"Some people are just born lucky and can't be killed. Your brother is one of them."

"You don't even know him. How do you know that?"

"I know a lot."

"Anyway, I can't just sit back and watch him get executed by the navy."

"...You're a good brother."

On the deck of the Moby Dick, Jon sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Opposite him, Ace had a solemn expression.

Jon knew this hothead couldn't be reasoned with, so he looked up at the top of the deck, where Whitebeard was covered in IV lines. "Old man, for a stranger, you're willing to risk your entire crew's strength against the navy? You agreed to something this outrageous?"

Whitebeard laughed heartily, "Gurarararara, if everything was done for profit and loss, life would be too boring. Ace is my son. Whatever he wants to do, I, as his father, will support him."

So, do all pirates have a screw loose?

What!

I'm also a pirate and a ten-billion bounty pirate at that?

Never mind then.

Jon took a deep breath.

No wonder the cocoon from little D kept reminding me to come here quickly.

Was it to witness this iconic scene?

Bling~bling~

Sensing Jon's thoughts, the cocoon of the Stand hidden deep in his soul began to glow.

Jon was stunned for a moment, thinking that since little D could already communicate with him, it wouldn't be long before it fully awakened.

The ability of 'Gate of Requiem' is to gain (steal) permissions, which means leaving a mark (backdoor) in each world.

I've already changed Ace and Jinbe's fates. If I can go further, it might speed up the Stand's evolution...

However, recalling the original fate of the 'Summit War,' Jon felt uneasy.

Of course, self-preservation is not an issue. If I encounter an unbeatable enemy, I can just flash away and use the Joestar family's ultimate technique.

The main concern is whether Ace and Whitebeard will be directly crushed by the intangible force of fate, like Polnareff in Italy.

Jon stroked his smooth chin.

The 'Space-Time Gate' can summon two people at a time.

Josuke and Giorno are top-tier healers.

With 'Crazy Diamond' and 'Gold Experience' holding the backline, it should be fine... Right?
