Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Universe Or Wealth

Days passed, and Nobita had set his priorities straight. Saving up for a year, he had around 5000 yen. The other savings were spent on books and other things he could enjoy.

Putting the money into the Doraemon's multiplying bank early would solve all troubles related to wealth; there needed to be a way to utilize this without impacting the family.

"You are being quite serious about this, Nobita," Doraemon said, looking at Nobita's playful look, but the seriousness in his eyes spoke volumes.

"Money is a devil. It can make a rich person feel poor in no time. It's important to know how this money I am about to deposit will be used." He said, and Doraemon nodded. Taking out the multiplying bank and placing it on the floor.

The multiplying bank introduced itself, and Nobita launched his barrage of questions. The bank offered an extremely high interest rate of 10% per hour. And if his wealth grew, he would be offered exclusive privileges through the bank.

With the money that would turn in from his side quests, he could grow the wealth to a significant amount as a security for his future generations down the line.

"The initial deposit has been accepted. This is the first deposit. The records have been updated." The bank said and after some time he would convert some of his money to a savings account.

Little did Nobita know that this very initiative of investments would save him from his rule-breaking tendencies on multiple occasions.

And the day did arrive when Sewashi Nobi, the fated great great grandson of Nobita arrived and the moment he stepped foot onto Nobita's room, was given a head slap by his ancestor making him croak on his own spit.

"Welcome my foolish ancestor who set to erase himself from the timeline." Nobita said and Sewashi and Doraemon looked speechless.

"What do you mean great great grandpa?" Sewashi asked and Nobita sighed. The 22nd century was so reckless. Kids messing with timelines without understanding the consequences of their actions.

"I accept that it was my fault as well, however, how do you know whether it would impact your timeline or would it create a branch in the timeline resulting in a parellel one?" Nobita asked and visitors from the future were speechless.

Thus a few more theories were to be tested. However testing time related theories would have to wait lest he gets caught by the time patrol who were the overseers of the timeline. Sewashi was happy yet surprised to see that this version of his ancestor was quite intelligent and serious.

'Maybe he will be able to implement Doraemon to his maximum potential.' Sewashi thought and let go off his past grievances. While heading back, Nobita withdrew a lumpsum from the multiplying back and handed it to Sewashi which left the boy speechless.

"Think of it as grandpa's gift for New Year's. A Billion Yen so that you don't trouble me again and come visit me every month. Bring me the latest updates from your timeline when you do." Nobita said and kicked Sewashi back into the drawer leaving the robotic cat stunned.

"You gave him money? A billion yen?" Doraemon asked and Nobita shrugged. A weeks worth of deposit at an hourly ten percent interest was a staggering 45 Billion Yen. Nobita had no qualms of it. If he needed anything, he had enough to buy it.

Even the world's economic output wouldn't be able to graze a penny in his portfolio by the end of a month. "Wealth is no longer an issue Doraemon. Besides you said yourself, Sewashi is a responsible boy." Nobita said and went back to his comic.

The multiplying bank worked as a seperate investment entity. While it existed, it was somehow inter connected to bank systems and the money market. While the portfolio of Nobita Nobi was at an incorrigible amount, no one could put a fault in it and the actual value would be hidden listing him as a high value individual. A smart gadget exploiting every loophole there was.

If he stacked ten thousand yen notes on top of each other, they would go far beyond the observable universe. Absolutely hilarious.

When he was a child in his previous life, he could never imagine how this worked but now it made sense. It was an actual bank making active investments and managing his portfolio rather than a simple banker.

"Still, I am worried about that kid. Hope he doesn't waste my money." Nobita said and Doraemon stared at Nobita. 'Seriously? That's what you are worried about?'

Until now, Nobita had made the right bets and the journey with him was not half bad as he thought it would be. Doraemon felt excited after a long time!

Nobita was definitely a genius, albeit lazy.

(P.S Let me know what you would do if you had such a bank! And if anyone's interested in economics let's chat in the comments!)
