Chapter 6 - CHAPTER FIVE

"Why are we hiding?" I finally asked Derick, who looked anxious. He tried to calm himself down and said, "It's Julie and her boyfriend."

"Oh, that donkey," I replied.

After a minute of realization, I started to panic too. "Julie must not find out that we're here," I whispered.

Derick looked at me worriedly and said, "What are we going to do?"

I stood up, determined. "Let's go. I'm not scared of her, and I don't like her. Okay, let's go."

But before I could take a step, Derick dragged me back. "Don't... I don't know what the beef is between you two sisters right now, but don't make it worse by going out now."

After 10 minutes of hiding, I couldn't stand it anymore. Julie and her boyfriend didn't seem like they were going to finish anytime soon. "I can't take it anymore," I said, frustrated.

"You have to hold on a bit longer," Derick replied.

"I think I have an idea," I said, a plan forming in my mind.

Derick raised an eyebrow. "That's a foolish idea."

I turned to him furiously. "Do you have a better one?"

Derick hesitated. "No, but..."

"No buts," I interrupted. "Let's do it now." Before Derick could stop me, I put my plan into action. I took a deep breath and started making loud, eerie whistling noises, pretending to be a ghost or some kind of supernatural entity. The sound echoed through the restroom, and I could feel Derick's eyes on me, a mix of amusement and concern.

Just as I hoped, Julie's curiosity got the better of her. She poked her head in the restroom one after the other, her eyes scanning the area until they landed on us. Her expression changed from confusion to surprise, and then to annoyance.

"Silvia? Derick? What the fuck are you two doing here?" she asked, her voice firm and suspicious. I felt Derick's grip on my arm tighten as he whispered "We're busted." I tried to think fast, but before I could come up with an excuse, Julie's eyes narrowed. "What were you two doing making that weird noise?" she demanded.

I knew we were caught, and it was time to face the music. Derick's face seemed to say "I told you so," but I just shrugged and smiled.

"Come out here, both of you," Julie demanded.

We emerged, and Derick apologized. "We're sorry."

Julie cut him off, her tone angry. "Wait... how did you guys get in? You're not up to 18 years old yet."

She glared at us, demanding, "Whose idea was this?"

Derick hesitantly pointed to himself. Julie's expression turned scary, and I felt a wave of fear.

As I swayed, Julie sniffed me and asked, "Silvia, are you drunk?"

I looked at her for a moment before responding, "Yes and no."

Julie's confusion turned to anger. "What the fuck are you talking about?"

I slurred, "Yes, I'm drunk because of the white havoc and the way I'm walking. But no, I'm not drunk because I recognize you well, Julie - the arrogant, selfish, self-centered sister."

Julie snapped, "Silvia, just shut the hell up."

I shot back, "You shut the hell up. I'm not your younger sister; I'm just your goddamn half-sister. Don't treat me like you care. You're just a self-centered and insecure daddy's girl who got jealous and made me get kidnapped. I don't care anymore. Fuck you."

Julie's face reddened, and she raised her hand to hit me. But Albert, her boyfriend, intervened. "Julie, calm down. You know that's the alcohol talking."

I continued, my words slurred but venomous. "Julie, I mean every little good damn thing I'm saying. And Albert, you're a sweet guy, but surely after tonight, you'll break up, and you'll just be one of her make-out boyfriends - her 25th, to be exact."

Derick covered my mouth with his hand, and Albert looked at Julie in surprise. "Babe, is this true?"

Julie composed herself. "No, Albert, as you said, it's the alcohol talking."

Derick apologized again. "Julie, I'm so sorry I caused this. I wanted to apologize to Silvia and make up for everything that happened last semester."

Julie nodded. "It's okay, Derick. She's just saying what she feels about me. I'm used to her bluffing nonsense about me. I just need a favor from you - take her out of here because Mom mustn't find out."

Julie pointed to the door. "Just go."

I refused, "I'm not going anywhere. You're not the boss of me, okay?"

Derick pleaded, "Silvia, please let's go."

I looked at him and relented, "Okay... but Julie, I'm not done with you."

As Derick dragged me toward the exit, Julie stopped us. "Derick, give her this scarf. Use it to cover her face because Jayden is also here. If he finds out Silvia is here, he'll tell Dad."

I protested, "Derick, you're not going to put that thing on me."

Derick pleaded again, "Silvia, please."

Julie stepped closer and wrapped the scarf around my face. "Silvia, you've been rude for far too long. I can't take it anymore. You're really provoking."

I shot back, "So what should I do about it? I'm not sorry. You should be because you're the bad one, okay, donkey face."

Julie's eyes welled up with tears. "Okay, I can't take this anymore. Get out."

I mocked her, "Aww... crybaby. Are you going to cry?"

Derick dragged me out, and I called back, "Adios, loser."
