Dressed in a flimsy leaf that could be swept away by a breeze, she looked akin to a nymph that lost her way from the forest.
She stood amidst blood and corpses, her thin limbs trembling, her bare feet splashed with gore, but her tears were the only clean thing in that place.
They left her eyes like fragments of white pearls, rare and covetous.
Cyan's expression twisted into something unreadable. The sight of her, tugged the matted string of the his greedy soul.
Among his three snake phantoms, the real Cyan stopped and knitted his brows.
"Is… Is that the female Sol was hiding?" he muttered briefly, looking at the figure with a stunned expression.
Yet, he quickly denied his hunch and uttered caustically.
"No, that couldn't be her... How can a female cry for a feral snake?"
If she was really the female Sol had, how could her actions make sense? Didn't Sol abduct her from her tribe and force her to be his mate?
