Chapter 4425: Actually in the West Pole Pure Land
In truth, the blue ice flame on Lin Moyu was just a hint, incredibly faint, but to Peng's eyes, it radiated the power of a seasoned cultivator of the blue ice flame Dao.
This was the ability of the Chaotic Spirit Pearl: with just a subtle disguise, it could mislead others at little cost with great effect.
Even Full Completion experts would find it hard to notice Lin Moyu's disguise. In others' perceptions, he was simply a Chaos Minor Completion practitioner who had cultivated the blue ice flame for years
and blue ice flame was a Dao unique to the west pole, not found anywhere else.
Lin Moyu had Peng probe for local west pole information. Peng's descriptions helped Chaos Child fine tune Lin Moyu's aura, eliminating all flaws.
Little Tree simultaneously located the nearest teleportation array. In the west pole, a Supreme had retrieved many rare materials from the Pure Land, and with the effort of the Divine Water Alliance over thousands of years, almost a million teleportation arrays were constructed.
Little Tree soon found the nearest array, about one billion miles away not far at all.
The Calamity Boat flew toward it and would arrive soon.
As the distance narrowed, Lin Moyu sensed other beings within the Necromancer's Eye, clusters of soul flames appeared.
Some were weak, barely Chaos Half Step, others neared Chaos Great Completion and almost Full Completion.
Lin Moyu put away the Calamity Boat, not wanting to attract attention anyone who could reach the Chaos Realm would recognize the boat as a supreme treasure.
Peng returned to his mount form a common thing; many use creatures as steeds in chaos.
The Chaos Lonely Peng species is rare in chaos most people wouldn't recognize one.
Lin Moyu soon encountered local cultivators mostly non humans, but many chose to appear human.
Humans in chaos are called "innate Dao bodies" and are the most suitable for cultivation.
The others noticed Lin Moyu as he passed, seeing his blue ice flame and taking him for a pure west pole native.
They nodded as a greeting; Lin Moyu returned the gesture.
West polar people are mostly cold in temperament; if strangers, they seldom converse, a nod being a mark of politeness.
Nearer the teleportation array, the number of locals increased; soon, Lin Moyu saw the array.
It was a stone disk about 100 meters wide and 5 meters thick, floating in the void, with the array built on top.
The foundation was "clear soul stone," mined from the Pure Land and refined by the Supreme with his own hands.
The clear soul stone emanated a strange aura cold yet with a trace of warmth.
The moment Lin Moyu sensed it, his soul became suddenly peaceful.
"Is this the aura of the Pure Land?" he asked Peng.
Peng replied by spiritual transmission, "It should be. The Pure Land's aura directly affects the soul, aiding in Dao comprehension. Some ancestors noted additional effects, but details are vague. Others said that in the Pure Land, clear soul stone is only a second rate material not a true treasure. Still, ordinary cultivators rarely get it. One ancestor tried and failed."
This fit the Lonely Peng tribe's style always craving everything, often failing to attain it.
Looking around the array, Lin Moyu saw countless beings using the Pure Land's aura to cultivate within 100,000 miles.
Many gathered, yet all were silent and still.
Suddenly, the array activated and, in a flash of radiance, someone vanished from the disk.
Lin Moyu felt the space fluctuate faintly proof that this particular transfer wasn't long range.
There were over a million arrays in the west pole, spaced closely; to travel far, one must transfer again and again, hopping from array to array.
The small fee in chaos gold was affordable, even for Chaos Half Step cultivators, but multiple hops would add up.
Reaching within ten thousand meters of the array, Lin Moyu quietly observed, focusing on the clear soul stone.
The stone made his soul calmer and allowed him to analyze arrays more quickly.
Perhaps, as he ascended to chaos realm, repeated transformations had nearly cleansed his soul of all impurities; for him, the stone's effect was faint, but still noticeable.
He soon discerned the array's details. It was designed by the west pole Supreme, laid out by Divine Water Alliance array masters.
Although the masters varied in skill, the array's structure was set allowing Lin Moyu to assess the Supreme's mastery at a glance:
good, but not as good as Catastrophe Supreme, and just below his own.
This array, unlike most, didn't directly connect to another teleportation node.
It could send you to only two fixed points both empty mists of void, and to reach the next array you'd have to fly yourself.
Lin Moyu recognized this as a safety feature to avoid a single sabotage affecting the whole network, perhaps with deeper strategic thinking.
Efficiency was lost, but time is nearly meaningless to beings of chaos, so none cared.
Once finished, Lin Moyu put away Peng and stepped to the array's edge, where a slot waited for chaos gold.
He paid, light flared up, and he selected a direction. The array activated.
The transmission was brief less than an hour. Lin Moyu flew out the space channel.
At his destination, about 9 to 10 trillion miles from the previous array, he had ten billion miles to fly to the next one.
Thus went travel in the west pole: alternate between teleportation and flight, step by step to the goal.
Lin Moyu continually probed for Catastrophe Supreme's array, always adjusting course, and with repeated transfers, after two months he was near his objective.
A chill washed over him the west pole was always cold, but this spot was even colder.
He saw pale blue light blazing from a distant place and narrowed his eyes:
"It's actually in the West Pole Pure Land!"
