Chapter 4434 - Chapter 4434: Tempering the Dao Heart

Chapter 4434: Tempering the Dao Heart

A chilling cold pierced directly into the soul the gloom and coldness of the West Pole was made tangible here.

This coldness would not freeze the soul, but it could kill it.

"So this is the center of the West Pole Pure Land, the place even Great Completion Chaos cultivators dare not tread," Lin Moyu mused as he surveyed his surroundings.

White mist drifted through the air, faint traces of water gleaming, distant rocks barely visible.

There was no vitality only desolation and a white, barren expanse.

Yet this place was a sanctuary for cultivation, reserved for the select few Full Completion cultivators.

Here lay chaos divine water and the ultimate extremes of the cold Dao, powers that brought massive benefits to those who cultivated similar paths.

Chaos divine water was special it could dissolve anything with its cold power. Enduring it offered a chance to comprehend a Dao.

The Dao here was named the Chaotic Extreme Yin Dao, a peerless path found only in the West Pole, though few could truly comprehend it.

Moreover, the center was pervaded by the lingering obsession of the Divine Water Beast regarded as a totem by many West Pole inhabitants. Even its lingering obsession contained the essence of a Dao; comprehending it offered vast opportunity.

Chaos divine water, the beast's lingering obsession, and the extreme yin Dao converged here into an immense, crushing pressure, barring most from entry.

As Lin Moyu moved through the core, Little Tree shielded him from most of the pressure with space time power.

The rest he withstood himself.

He sensed immense power within the earth, a force difficult to wield yet undeniably real.

In his view, it nearly surpassed ordinary Daos, approaching the fourth tier comparable to primordial force itself.

The Chaotic Extreme Yin Dao and chaos divine water were all products of the West Pole Pure Land.

Only a place like this could give rise to the Divine Water Beast.

Though some believed the beast created the Pure Land, it was clear to Lin Moyu this was a reversal the true origin was the land itself.

All these powers the Dao, the water, the beast originated from the West Pole Pure Land.

"It's an incredible place. No one knows where it really came from," Lin Moyu thought.

Not even Little Tree or Chaos Child, both of whom were born long after the Pure Land had formed.

Its origins, Lin Moyu mused, were as mysterious as those of the Catastrophe Scepter.

Still, it was obvious why Catastrophe Supreme had chosen to construct the grand array here:

He used the array to absorb the vast power of the Pure Land, amassing the strength needed to face 'Dao.'

Almost no one else was here; only the top Full Completion cultivators ever reached the center.

Lin Moyu wandered for three days without encountering anyone.

He trekked ever deeper, pressing toward the absolute center.

For a moment, he felt like he'd returned to his younger days, to the special battlefield within a minor world.

Training, he'd crossed the Eternal Battlefield a challenge that now seemed child's play compared to his present experience.

Thinking of the battlefield, Lin Moyu's mind drifted to his old mentors, their lives uncertain.

He believed they were still alive, having been spirited away when his old world vanished.

Signs of past battles told him they endured; someone had left these traces as a message for him.

He reflected on his wife her cultivation surely advanced, perhaps beyond his own but what mattered most was not the present, but the future.

He was determined to reach the peak, to surpass even Catastrophe Supreme and solve all the mysteries.

Suddenly, a chill swept his heart. "What's happening to me?" he wondered.

These memories, so sharply recalled, were unnatural his Dao heart, he realized, had been subtly affected by the Pure Land's environment and the chaos divine water.

His Dao heart was not yet truly firm.

The West Pole Pure Land didn't just hone one's power it tempered the Dao heart.

Lin Moyu did not resist; instead, he accepted the challenge, letting his Dao heart weather the ordeal.

Cultivators defy everyone yet must face themselves

Pride is nothing without a strong Dao heart; lose it, and everything else is meaningless.

Lingering slowly, Lin Moyu measured the Pure Land and noted his own changes.

A month passed in the center; his cultivation stayed the same, but his Dao heart was much tougher.

Though progress was slow, he traveled far.

Wandering in the mist, he neither saw chaos divine water nor any other souls only his own footsteps echoed in the emptiness.

Even after a month, he was no closer to the misty mountain a place more desolate than any other, ideal for tempering the Dao heart, yet also a place of shattered spirits.

Pressure mounted daily, but fortunately Little Tree was strong enough to absorb the brunt.

Time passed; constant walking, never stopping. After 100 days, Lin Moyu finally found a tiny pool.

Just two meters across, half a meter deep a mere puddle.

He stopped, his face unemotional; after months of tempering, his Dao heart was immeasurably stronger.

He knew that with time, chaos divine water was guaranteed.

Lin Moyu spoke calmly, "Even a tiny morsel is still meat. Little Tree, go ahead."

"Got it!" Little Tree cheered, stretching a branch in and draining the pool dry.

Chaos Child's voice piped up, "Fat Tree, give me some!"

Little Tree ignored him; Chaos Child grew anxious and noisy, to no avail.

Chaos divine water meant new chances for Lin Moyu more rebirths, not necessarily any Dao benefits.

For Little Tree, it strengthened his chaos soil, benefiting him accordingly.

Chaos Child needed it to perfect his inner world that was his foundation.

Little Tree seized all the divine water, gaining a hundred more rebirths instantly, equal to years of progress.

With more water, even higher gains were possible, boosting Lin Moyu in turn.

Chaos Child, denied his share, squabbled with Little Tree; Lin Moyu let them be it happened often enough that he was used to it.

Continuing on, Lin Moyu suddenly looked up at a silvery cloud ahead.

A soul flame danced within the cloud it was chaos divine water with true sentience!
