"ARGHHHHHHHHH!" Karl's roar shook the whole room the moment Adrian and Ruby stepped inside. His face was red, his hair slightly messy, and he stomped like an angry cat that had just been drenched with water.
Ruby's lips twitched despite herself. Seeing him so worked up made it hard to keep a straight face. "Karl, calm down," she said with a helpless smile, trying not to laugh.
"ARGHHHHHHH—you don't understand anything!!" Karl shouted again, throwing himself onto the couch with exaggerated drama. He crossed his arms and pouted so hard his cheeks puffed out.
Milo, standing nearby, blinked at Ruby with watery eyes, his small hands fidgeting. His sadness was quieter than Karl's fury, but it was heavier.
