After a brief class discussion on the first topic with other students engaging who already knew the information and me just listening to them and jotting down everything which sounded important to me, the class thankfully ended and I quickly got up with selene and youna to get as far as possible from timarthus. As everyone left the lecture hall, the main corridors suddenly filled with more debates about what could have been done to prevent this from happening and etc. Apparently the next class was on mythical bonding and I heard a few girls talking about how their bonded pets had a sort of small meetup over the vacations which confused me even more. How do people even bond with animals? Or even creatures.
As I sit in the lecture hall, the professor this time was a fae and she is a female. Behind her a small animal was flying.... is that a sphinx with wings? The cat was pink in color and sat at the teacher's table while the professor smiles at us as we take our places. Were all the professors like this? We take our seats in the front this time and the sphinx looks at me with a curious look in its eye making me feel visible. I divert my attention to the students coming inside one by one and at the last timarthus enters the room his eyes land on us but he stops as he sees the professor infront of him. He gives us another look before going back of the hall. The professor's eyes following him. "Professor Betha is timmy's older sister.", youna suddenly whispers at us making me snap my attention at hers at the mention. "H..how?", I ask looking at the fae professor and then at timarthus. They are different....
"Apparently both of their father are the same, its just the mothers are different.", she says and I quickly understood. Professor betha's mother must be a fae and I guess things haven't been getting along between them as they both are half siblings. "Now that everyone is settled, I am professor bethamine, betha for short and I will teach you bonding with the animals of our realms. This is my bonded creature kiza, yes she is a sphinx that are the mostly bonded animals of the fae realm. So first we will talk about the history and the habitats of all sorts of creatures that are found in this realm.", she explains. As the time passes she tells us that there are many different creatures from all the realms, dragons and griffons which I have already seen, fairies, wyverns, crows, water horse and many more. "Everyone with powers can have a bonded creature but is only depend on how faster they get bonded to you.", she says. "Professor are the ordinaries also bonded to creatures?", one of the girls in the back mocks a few ordinaries including that girl we had seen in the assembly. "Yeah, as long as their bonded creatures exist they can also get bonded. It is very common for your bonded animal to die due to many environmental factors. So many of us can't get bonded to creatures.", she says and everyone starts chatting with each other at the chances that will they get bonded or not. The realization hits me so hard that I wont have a bonded creature of my own as nothing existed anymore of my kingdom. I grip my hands tight to my chair as I hear few boys bragging about how they got bonded to their respective animals at a very young age. Another soft hand holds my hands and I look at selene who gives me a guilty smile. I smile back gripping her hand tightly and look at the professor who tries to silence the chattering of the students. We were done with the subjective courses today and even the professor of our alchemy class gave us a whole lot of elements to learn about and it was a huge list which weren't even founded yet on earth. Something which youna told me that there were still many different elements yet to discover even on their own realm which she was excited about.
While selene just groaned at how the professor gave us homework on our very first day. And he was the most strict out of all the professors of our semester. This year we will be learning to make small antidotes and healing potions to use when we become sick and as the level goes harder we will learn to brew poisons and other cursing potions.
We were told to go out of the academy building and into the huge field were a huge obstacle course was set up and lucien teaching the third years who were completing the course of their level which looked way too deadly. "Okay 3rd years, you may return to the academic building in a disciplined line.", he orders and everyone runs to form a line happy to get out from here as soon as possible. I saw jason and his friends giving us a sly grin before leaving. "Okay 1st years, stand a bit back.", he says and we follow keeping a safe distance as the obstacle course of the third years vanish in thin air and a easy obstacle course appears infront of us with net covering the ground to prevent us from cracking our skulls open. But it was really high enough to make a normal person shake on his legs let alone an acrophobian.
"Okay so this is a starting obstacle for you guys which you have to fully clear. You can take the time you need but I will be keeping track to see how faster you complete the obstacle without fearing. And for those who have a fear of heights can fucking go back to their rooms and hide under the sheets because my course is not for them. It is for the one who are strong enough to deal with air pressure.", he barks. Wow another strict professor on the list. "One by one you will go up and complete the obstacle course. Now form a line and wait for your turns.", he instructs and we all form a line with me and the girls on the mids not wanting to go first or last. It was a strategic decision made by selene who told us to observe how they clear the obstacle and so we can save the time on figuring how to cross. The students who were in the fronts were children of the royal guards or of high ranks in the army and they soon pass the obstacle course bragging to others about who teached them. These people have to much prides in themselves.
Lucien didn't cared and just noted down the timings at which they completed before ordering other students to go. Selene was the next one to get on confidently with lucien's eyes following her every move. Strange because he barely paid any attention to the others who crossed the obstacle course. "And...go!", he shouts and selene confidently moved at every step and fastly swinged on the rope step, successfully grabbing for all of them and completed the most difficult part of the course before she completed the whole course in no time and went down standing among the students who completed the course. There was a hint of amusement on lucien's eyes as he noted her time and it was time for youna to get on.
Youna was confident but she nearly slipped and braced herself quickly that no one noticed her slipping but lucien certainly did. Taking no more time like selene she quickly crossed the obstacles and as she got down to go to her, selene hugged the girl tightly and compliments her for doing a good job. It was my turn, I looked at the girls who encouraged me with their smiles and I take a deep breath before climbing up the steps. Lucien looks at me for a brief second before shouting me to go and I do the obstacle like how I observed others doing who went before me and successfully did the first half of the obstacle. The second half had came which was a bit hard but taking a quick breath I stepped on it swinging the rope and as it was close to the second rope I jumped on the step. Thank goodness. The rest became easier and I was only left with two steps. As I started swinging myself to gain momentum, from the corner of the eye I see jason with his two friends and a wide smirk was on his face. My focus lost and before the swing could slow, I jumped on the second last step but I gasped when my foot slipped from the step as it had freeze with ice and I fall. Only at the gasps of the students is when lucien looks up only to drop his stuff before throwing his hands towards me and a huge gust of wind was directed at me which caught me in time and placed me to the ground.
He and the girls rush towards me as I take deep breaths. Oh my god... falling from a huge height was actually scary. "Are you okay? What happened?", lucien asks looking at my body for injury. "I slipped from the step. J..jason had turned it to ice...", I say and their heads snap up to the step where the ice was now melting and water droplets fell from the wooden step. "Guys help her up and I'll take care of this after the class.", lucien says going towards his stuff and orders the next student to go ensuring that there was no problem after the mishap which happened with me. I get up and join the girls with the students and one by one the other students do take their time but completed the course. Everyone but me.
After the course, lucien gave a brief lecture on how he will give us different exercises to work on our moves before dismissing us and he also clears up the course before leaving too. This time it was abex's class of metal wielding and weaponry. He explained us about how the metals are wielded and weapons are made which we will do in the following years. He gives us small daggers to observe them and feel them to get a grip on fighting. He also tells about a few stances on how to avoid the weapon. There was a dummy wearing steel armor infront of him. Abex had magically made him move on it's own but in a very slow speed. The dummy had a sword on his hand which slowly moved up and abex showed us how he avoids the sword from hitting with his body stance. "Everyone divide into a group of two and start practicing together. If I saw anyone, any single person using the dagger at a speed greater than the dummy I showed you. You will be immediately dismissed and you should think better than to disobey my words.", he says in a strict voice to everyone in the room. "Selene you practice with me.", youna says as abex was coming towards us. Youna winked at me to take advantage of learning from a senior. Timarthus was approaching me but Abex caught up to me first. "Miss kaya let's start shall we?", he says and I nod giving a sorry look to timarthus.
"Timarthus isn't leaving you anywhere huh?", he asks as he makes a stance and I do the same holding the dagger he gave me firmly in my hand. I shrug before attacking him with the dagger and he avoids. "He wants to be friends because I saved him from lucien's wrath.", I say. "If he isn't backing off, tell silas, he will see to it.", he says. "I don't want to make any more enemies.", I say. "What do you mean? Someone bothering you?", he asks raising his brow in suspicion. "Um nope.", I say but miss my step nearly falling on him but he grabs me from both arms. "You okay?", he asks looking at me seriously. I nod and that is when someone from the class speaks. "Senior abex, can we change partners now?", a girl asks and he chuckles. "Of course we can!", he grins and I nod at him with a small smile stepping out of the way. Before the girl comes towards abex, youna quickly stands infront of him glaring at the girl who backed off probably because she was of a lower rank. I look at selene who grins guiltily at me and I go to join her place.

"Possessive much?", Abex whispers at youna with daring eyes. "I want to challenge you. I've been learning this shit when I was three.", she says but abex only smirks at her out of amusement. "Okay let's see then.", abex says coming to formation. Youna smirks at him flicking her dagger in air but abex only had eyes on her. She catches the dagger quickly going for abex like how he showed but he was obviously faster, he caught her from back putting his dagger across her neck with just a few inches away. "Was that an overstatement younarosa.", he whispers her full name into her ear but she smirks. "No, I don't do overstatements, they are too overrated.", she says grabbing his hand and puts her leg between his opened thigh and makes him stubble on the floor from the slip and sits on his lap gripping his dagger hand to the ground with her dagger at his neck. "Told you, been learning since I was 3.", she says and abex looks at her with hood in his eyes as if he was liking the scenery of her riding his lap infront of him. Her chest was heaving hard from the use of energy of throwing a strong man on the floor. But at the same time possessiveness flicked in those orbs of his. He changes the position easily with her on him and now it was him between her legs holding her down by pinning both of her arms on the ground. "Mind telling me the name of the fucking man who trained you like this?", he asks his voice over the edge. "Why? Possessive much?", she throws his words at him and she sees his jaws tighten. "Yes, I don't fucking like seeing you straddling other men who are not me.", he says. "Abex you know I don't-", "Shut the fuck up youna if your going to say something I have been hearing every time even if you know my feelings for you and I won't stop in hell.", he says.
Suddenly there was a gasps heard and something being thrown to the floor with a thud. Abex's head snaps towards the students fighting, the boy gripping the ordinary girl to the ground. Youna quickly gets up behind him and grabs his arm but he jerks his arm away as he heads for the students and snaps their hands at them and the next seconds they were pinned to the opposite walls with knifes clawed into their cloaks. "Get. Out.", he says in a deadly voice but enough for them to hear as the whole class was silent. "Senior she-", the boy starts but abex throws his dagger at the boy which hit the wall between his inner thighs making his legs shake. "Get. The. Fuck. Out. Both of you.", he says and they both carefully get out the daggers placing them on the floor and head out the class room. "I see this again and there will be worser consequences.", he throws another glare at everyone before heading for the door too. "Class dismissed.", he says and leaves.
"Remind me not to mess with him again....", timarthus says getting an eyeroll from youna.

The most dreadful part of the day had come where we all the years have to attend Silas's class. The worse headaches will be for this class. The combat hall was in a different building which was huge for all the students at the same place. There were long mats placed on the corners for students to sit and many small mats for the combat matches. Abex and lucien were talking to silas as they were here with the fourth years. As most of the students had arrived the whole hall was erupted with chattering. Silas clears his throat and the whole hall becomes pin drop silence. "For practices, you will be paired up with your seniors and juniors. But when the official competitions start it will be year wise. And try not to break rules of my class and use these fights for your stupid vengeances. If I caught anyone, I'll fucking kill them before their opponent does.", he says. His black shadows being more visible and I diverted my eyes from his face because he looked fucking deadly. Suddenly the doors of the hall opens revealing jason and his friends. They quickly run over to the filled mats infront of ours and with one deadly glare, the students quickly move away to the free space leaving them alone.
Jason meets my eyes and looks at me with that same ugly grin on his face like he enjoyed what he did with me a few hours ago. "To show how I will punish the person breaking the rules even on the very first fucking day and to give you an insight on how these classes are going to be from now on, I am going to demonstrate it.", silas says looking down at his arms as he was rolling his sleeves up to show his veiny arms and the end of a tattoo visible. He takes off his robe throwing it on the floor. "Will you come up to the mat, Mr Roy?", silas finally looks up, his eyes darting at jason who had went still, his eyes completely goes wide. I look at lucien who winked at me and I rolled my eyes as he had told silas about today. He is going to fucking kill him. The sudden darkness in silas eyes and the twitch of his eyebrow made me shudder as he smiles at the junior who had finally got up. Silas stretches his knuckles and popping sounds could be heard. Oh this is going to get crazy.....
