ALEXIA P. O. V
The whistle blew Sharply and it was so annoying,l ran back to Wyatt
"So did I pass it?"
"1,000 lap in ten seconds, l'll say Alexia you are strong and way more faster than supernatural's your age"
"Yay, so.. what's next?"
"Meditation"
"What?"
"Meditation helps in your astral projection, dream walking and being in people head even hypnotic powers "
"Wow l can do all that" he nodded
"But it all starts with keeping quiet and calm and taking control of your unconscious mind "
"But with all this adrenaline pumping it will be hard to remain calm"
"Breathe in and out"
Following his instructions l was able to calm down
"Now from on we are going to have our conversations in our head, understand?" Wyatt said to me in my head, l nodded
"Wyatt, Wyatt?,can you hear me"
"I can Alexia, now l want you to read my thoughts"
I tried but after so many times l couldn't get through
"I'm trying but for some reason l can't get through"
"That's what you'll encounter with some people, people like us have barriers preventing from people to read our thoughts but only people with strong powers and strong mental ability can do that, l want you to conquer it "
"Wait so that means you read my thought everytime?"
"Not all the time,l like giving people their privacy but l do it when is necessary"
"Oh"
I tried for some minutes, l was so hard that beads of sweat gather on my head until l did it
"Ha Wyatt l did it, l got through but I don't see anything, though"
"That's because I'm not thinking of anything, Good Job Alexia, let's rest for today "
I nodded somehow this lesson kinda feels l know how to do all this before and l'm merely just refreshing it again "odd" because I can swear that I have never done any of this before
After training with Wyatt l showered and left for work when I received a call from Nadia
"Miss there is a problem" I frowned
"The project is..is.... Missing"
"Missing?"
"Yes, yesterday they was a break in investigating we found no trace of the culprit but the project was gone"
"What the hell!!"
"I'm so sorry Miss Alexia, l should have placed in a more secured place, l should have investigate the staffs better, l should have..."
Nadia tends to panic in this kind of situation she is kinda of a neat freak and starts blaming herself when something goes wrong about"
"Is okay Nadia,is not your fault l'm not angry with you but we do have to do something quickly to retrieve it back, have the FBI'S come around"
"They are already here"
"Give me 30 minutes"
"Any clue?" I asked the detective investigating the scene
" No ma'am whoever was behind this was a master mind"
"Was a master mind or you not doing your job well?!"
"Miss l am an FBI detective which implies that l am more than capable for the job, now as l said there are no clues but that doesn't mean we won't continue to search, we do have some lead on but we need to investigate"
"Officer you don't understand this is a very critical situation once this machine falls into the wrong hands it can cause lots of harm beyond your imagination" Nadia said
"I understand but we need investigate which can take time so we require your patience"
"But.....
"Nadia the officer is right we should give them time to investigate after all we do know that takes a lot of time so let's leave them to their work, officer l do appreciate if you could find more hints"
"You have my word Miss"
I dragged Nadia into my car and drove off
"Miss if we don't act quick,this could end very badly why are you so relaxed by all this?"
"Those men aren't to be who they are supposed to be, something shady is going on and while l'm looking into it, l want you to be discreet go on your day like any other day, am l understood"
I pulled over and stared firmly at her
"Of course Miss" she said while getting off
"And one more thing"
She stared at me
"Please be careful,these people might be dangerous"
"I'll try my best"
I nodded then drove way to the other shady side of the city , pulling up at an huge warehouse wearing my silver coloured mask with the ignition of 3 turning blades and black sunglasses l walked in and was greeted by a den full of notorious men and women all giving me a slight bow when I walked pass them. I threw a picture of a man on the table
"This man stole something very important from me and l need you to retrieve it back"
"What did he steal?!, l mean l wouldn't want to question you but at least we should know what we are going for and whom we are going to meet" a sturdy tall man with a rough appearance named Pete said out
I put down the picture of the machine on the table
"This is what you are going to get and I don't know who yet but whoever it is must be someone with power and influence seeing as the FBI is involved so that's why you'll have to be careful"
They all nodded in unison then turn to look at themselves
"Something l should know?"I raised a brow
"Yes Raven, concerning the affairs of the underworld, The White's are making a move on every big groups there is, tearing them down one by one" a red haired girl with an Irish accent spoke
"Have they make a move on us yet?"
"Not yet but a few days back we received threating notes from them saying we were next"
"Make no move yet but secure our other checkpoints and send more reinforcement and be on the lookout and if The White's really make a move prepare yourselves"
They nodded and l walked out then drove over to my grandfather company, walking in l met with the secretary and ask for the CEO
"He's in the office but Miss, you must have a meeting with him first to see him"
When grandfather died l was put in charge of his company as CEO but I was kinda broken and sad anytime l step in here so I told someone to replace me at least for the meantime so I haven't really been here since that's why most of the staffs don't know me
"I assure you, he would really want to see me so don't worry yourself"
"I'm afraid l can't let you in"
she blocked my way, and l rolled my eyes then stared at her clearly annoyed, l appreciate her doing her job but I don't have the time for this, l really need to get in. Suddenly a strange blue light flashed through her eyes then she quietly left my way and obediently went behind her desk and l was left standing in awe
'what just happened?, Did l do that?' but can l do that l'll ask Wyatt later' I walked into the elevator and made my way to the office turns out he was in a meeting so l had to wait in the lobby. After waiting for 30 minutes a figure came out of the meeting room his familiar scandalwood scent immediately flooded my brain since that day at the mall l tried not to think of him even making sure l clear him out of my mind. I looked up to meet his gaze but I wasn't going to get stuck on them not anymore so l quickly avoided his eye and pretended not to see him not to even know him and boy it wasn't easy.
"Alexia you're here, please this way"
Hayden the man l put in charge to take care of grandpa's company greeted me so l nodded and followed him to his office
"Please take a sit here "
He pointed to his own chair
"No there'll be no need for that, thank you"
'But Alexia you know you are supposed to be here"
"I know but l'm more comfortable here"
"If you say so" he smiled
"I see everything is going well" referring to his meeting
"It is, Mr Slade and I were discussing on a project and foreseeing it, it will be beneficial to both of us"
I smiled"I didn't make the wrong choose with you, anyways I just came by to check the progress l won't disturb you" I said as l stood up
Hayden and I were friends back in highschool, he has always be trustworthy and reliable so one day when he came in looking for the position of a manager l gave him the position of a CEO instead because that was more his suit l knew at the time l wouldn't be disappointed and l was right
"Nonsense you aren't disturbing me, anyways l wanted to send this to you but since you are here .....
He brought out a wedding invitation
"I'm inviting you to my wedding, oh l remember you can invite your squad with you even the crazy blonde one"
"Oh my, l'm so happy for you" I stood up and hugged him"of course l'm going to come"
"Thanks" he smiled brightly
"So you are officially off the market " I teased
"Yup"
"Too bad, and here l am thinking of pursuing you, seems like another girl already beat me to that" I smiled at him
He laughed " Don't worry Alexia you'll find yours one day"
"I doubt that"
"Come on Alexia, you have been like that since highschool when will you change?"
"When pigs fly" I turned to leave
"Then l'll find a pig that will fly to change your mind"
"Good luck on that, see you later"
"Girls guess who's getting married" I said excitedly over the call with Clara and Naomi
"My gym instructor, l knew he had a thing with that blondie" Naomi said
"No"
"Oh l know, my colleague was really acting suspicious about a ring her father gave to her, what a evil liar she could have just said she was engaged"
"No Clara l don't even know your colleague"
"Well is it you then?"Naomi asked me
"Eww No, is Hayden
"What Hayden?" Clara asked
"Hayden in highschool"
"Oh the handsome Nerd, what about him?" Clara said
"Are you even listening at all?!, he's getting married!! And he invited us"
"Aww that's so sweet" Naomi said
"What's so sweet about getting married?, Feels more of a burden to me what really interests me is who is the lucky girl to marry that nerd" Clara said
"Whoever she is definitely thinks marriage is a bliss that's why she's getting married unlike certain a certain person l know"
Naomi was clearly refering to Clara, l could feel the argument brewing since I was bored, l just quietly listened
"That certain person is the most brilliant person ever bet she's pretty too"
"Funnily enough, she's the opposite of pretty as for brilliance l'll say it depends"
"Are you trying to say l'm ugly and dumb... I don't even care about the dumb part but how could you say l'm ugly"
"I never said you are ugly"
"Really 🥺"
"I just said you are the opposite of pretty"
I burst out laughing
"You are so mean, Alexia how can you just sit there and laugh while Naomi bullies me"
"What do you want me to do" I said in between laughs
"Tell her l'm pretty"
"What l'm l your boyfriend now?"
"But you love me"
"Who have been telling that?"
*Fake Gasps* " so you have been using me all this time, you.. you broke my heart both of you"
We all burst out laughing
"Clara you are something else" Naomi said
"I know, So A what's the venue for the wedding"
"I'll send it to you guys later"
"Alright then later guys"
"Ok and Naomi"
"Hmm"
"I am P-R-E-T-T-Y" and with that she end the call
We and Naomi laughed
"You knew it would end like this though" I said to her
"I know but still is fun"
"Yeah"
"A, are you okay?"
"Of course l'm fine why do you ask"
"You voice doesn't really sound like the lively Alexia l know what's going on"
*Sighs"you are right l'm really going through some hard time remember the project my company was designing l was telling you the other time"
"Hmm"
"Well l just found out this morning that someone stole it"
"Oh my Gosh, that's not good"
"Nope it isn't that project was a very important and dangerous machine falling into the wrong hands can cause a lot of damage"
"How are you handling this?"
"Honestly l'm tired,not physically though mentally tired, lots of other things have been going on"
"Want me to come over so we can talk about it?"
"Nah l'm not going to stress you, l remember you telling me how you have an important contract this week and how you are excited for it, l'm not going to burden you besides l'm going to sleep right now"
"Okay but do take care okay?"
"Okay"
I hung up and looked down at the bright red sachet of blood in my hands feeling pathetic
