❄️ Chapter 37 — The Last Stand
The sky was burning.
New York trembled under alien fire, venom corruption, and the clash of gods. But the war wasn't over. It was only just reaching its endgame.
---
EXT. STARK TOWER — LOKI'S SUMMONING
Atop the tower, Loki stood crowned in shadow, venom coursing through his veins like molten tar. The scepter pulsed in his grip, its light fusing with the corruption twisting his body. His laughter split the smoke.
"Come forth, my army!"
The ground cracked. Portals ripped open.
Chitauri swarmed in shrieking waves.
Frost Giants lumbered through rubble, venom dripping from their jaws.
The Furious Four reappeared, twisted and reforged.
Amora, her eyes blazing with eldritch fury.
And worst of all—two broken heroes: Luke Cage and Iron Fist, dripping with symbiote venom, their strength amplified and enslaved.
The horde stretched across the city like a living tide. Loki raised the scepter high.
"Kneel before your end!"
---
EXT. RUINS — HEROES ASSEMBLE
Across the rubble, battered but unbroken, the heroes stood.
Iron Man's armor glowed red-hot from overstrain.
Spider-Man crouched on a crumbled taxi, fists clenched.
Thor's armor was cracked, Mjolnir sparking with fury.
Hulk snarled, fists dripping alien gore.
Hawkeye's bowstring was frayed, but his eyes were steady.
Black Widow spun her batons, lips tight.
White Tiger crouched low, claws shining.
Guardian stood at the center, Ox hammer blazing in one hand, Cataclysm pulsing faintly in the other.
And beside him—Mayura, wings unfurled.
In a shimmer of feathers, Mayura vanished—then reappeared at Loki's feet. With a single slash of her fan, she ripped Steve Rogers free before the villain could react.
Cap collapsed into his team's arms. His shield shattered, body broken, but his spirit burned. With effort, he limped forward to stand at their side.
Silence hung for a heartbeat.
Thor raised Mjolnir. Hulk slammed his fists. Iron Man's repulsors flared.
Steve breathed one word:
"Avengers…"
Hulk bellowed the rest:
"ASSEMBLE!"
The armies collided.
---
EXT. SKY — THOR & HULK VS. LEVIATHANS
A Leviathan screamed across the sky. Thor hurled Mjolnir, chaining lightning through its armored hide. Hulk leapt from rubble, landing on its back, tearing into its spine.
Another dove. Hulk ripped a horn free and rammed it through the beast's skull. Thor struck lightning into the wound, exploding the creature mid-air.
But three more surged from the portal. The gods of thunder and rage dove to meet them headlong.
---
EXT. STREETS — SPIDER-MAN & STRIKE TEAM
Spider-Man webbed Venom-Harry across the jaw, but the boy tore free, hissing. White Tiger slashed Kraven's chest, claws glowing. Widow tangled with Hurricane, batons sparking against corrupted whips.
Then Luke Cage came. Venom made his skin crawl black, his strength monstrous. Iron Fist followed, his chi sickly green, warped by symbiote rage.
Spidey rolled under a punch that cratered a truck. "Okay—officially not fair!"
"Focus!" White Tiger snapped, deflecting Kraven's claws.
Widow grunted, blades locked with Hurricane. "Since when has it ever been fair?"
---
EXT. ROOFTOPS — MAYURA VS. AMORA
Amora unleashed chains of eldritch fire. Mayura's feathers sliced them apart. The sorceress shrieked, spears of green flame spiraling outward.
Mayura twisted, rewinding time in an instant, dodging the blast. She slammed both fans forward, driving Amora into collapsing brick.
"I beat you once," Mayura said coldly. "I'll do it again."
Amora roared, power splitting the rooftop as their duel raged like wildfire.
---
EXT. MAIN STREET — GUARDIAN VS. LOKI
Guardian stepped forward, Ox hammer glowing, Cataclysm pulsing black in his other hand.
Loki smirked. "You think to fight me, boy?"
Adrian's eyes blazed. "I'm not fighting you. I'm ending this."
The scepter clashed with the hammer in a shockwave that split the street. Loki's venom warped into beasts, wolves, and blades. Adrian crushed them aside, his hammer blazing with chi.
Cataclysm spread across venom spikes, disintegrating them into dust. Every strike tore at Adrian's body, veins burning—but he pressed forward.
---
EXT. SPACE — NOVA'S FINAL PUSH
Sam Alexander limped through the mothership's heart, two burning holes seared through his armor—one in his leg, one in his stomach. His breaths rattled. His fists still glowed.
Below him lay the twisted corpse of the Chitauri Commander, its four arms sprawled lifeless.
Sam collapsed to one knee, blood soaking his suit. His helmet flickered.
[Life signs critical.]
"Not yet," Sam wheezed. He staggered to the console. "No self-destruct? Fine. I'll make one."
He raised both hands, energy screaming through him. "For Earth!"
The mothership convulsed as Sam unleashed everything.
---
EXT. BATTLEFIELD — LOKI'S ARMY
The horde pressed harder. Frost Giants crushed cars into shields. Venom-Luke backhanded Spidey through a wall. Widow locked blades with Hurricane.
Loki sneered across the battlefield. "Surrender your Miraculous. Kneel, and perhaps I'll spare your love."
Adrian, body trembling, raised his head.
"Why do you think you've already won?"
Loki spread his arms. "Because I have an army."
Adrian went silent. His voice cut through the chaos:
"Is that so…? Plagg, claws in."
The Cat ring deactivated. Loki smiled, scepter ready.
"A wise choice."
Adrian raised his other hand.
"Noru, dark wings rise."
Purple light surged. Akuma spread like wildfire. One darted into Steve's broken shield strap.
Adrian's whisper reached him:
"Do you still want to protect them?"
Steve's bloody smile was steel. "Always."
Black light enveloped him. A controlled, Akumatized Captain America stood, shield whole, eyes blazing.
Adrian pushed deeper, splitting the original akuma. One became dozens, dozens became hundreds. They swept through Loki's army, freezing them into statues—each one transformed into another Captain America.
Adrian's voice roared:
"Then lead them, Captain."
Cap lifted his shield high. His voice thundered like a war drum:
"If you want symbols, Loki—then let me show you what one can inspire. Avengers—advance!"
The statues charged. Dozens of Captain Americas smashed into Frost Giants, Chitauri, and venom beasts. The tide shifted.
---
EXT. FINAL DUEL — GUARDIAN VS. LOKI
Loki shrieked, venom and magic bursting from his body in a storm of illusions, fire, and blades. Adrian pressed forward—Ox hammer blocking, Cataclysm unraveling corruption.
They clashed in a crater, scepter locked against hammer. Loki forced venom illusions down Adrian's mind—visions of Natalie dying, of Earth burning—but the Ox's invulnerability shattered them.
Adrian roared, veins glowing, raising his hand.
"CATACLYSM!"
The venom shattered. The scepter cracked. Loki reeled, bloodied but still defiant.
Adrian swung the Ox hammer one last time. It smashed the scepter into fragments. Loki collapsed in chains of light, thrashing against Thor's shackles.
Thor snarled. "Enough."
---
EXT. SKY — NOVA'S RETURN
The mothership exploded, its death scream echoing across the heavens. Chitauri collapsed lifeless in the streets.
Sam Alexander plummeted, smoke trailing from his body. Iron Man caught him mid-fall.
Tony's eyes widened at the holes still seared in Sam's armor. "Kid… you're still standing? Great job. Now take a vacation—like, a long one."
Sam coughed a laugh. "Told you… not dying."
---
EXT. BATTLEFIELD — RESTORATION
Silence fell. The heroes stood amidst rubble, battered but alive. Loki bound. Villains captured.
Adrian staggered forward, pulling the Ladybug earrings from his pouch.
"Tikki—spots on."
Red light engulfed him. The Lucky Charm spun into his hand: a cracked hourglass. He closed his fist.
"Miraculous Ladybug."
The world bloomed in red light.
Buildings rose. Streets healed. Blood vanished from wounds. Nova's holes sealed. Steve's shield reforged in his grip. The city breathed again—alive.
The glow faded. Adrian collapsed, trembling.
Steve placed a hand on his shoulder. "You've done enough, son."
Adrian whispered, broken but smiling. "We did it."
---
EXT. STARK TOWER — EPILOGUE
Loki snarled in chains, dragged toward the Quinjet. His voice slithered like poison.
"You think you've won. But you've only made yourselves seen." His lips curled. "And He is watching."
The heroes exchanged uneasy looks.
But Steve raised his shield, gleaming once more. "Then let him watch."
They stood together, united, as smoke cleared above them.
The first war was over.
The next had already begun.
