Chapter: 5 The Unreadable Student
U.A. High School Principal's Office principal Nezu sat at his large wooden desk, His eyes focused on the computer screen displaying Aiden Blaze's profile. Across from him sat Shota Aizawa, with his sleep-deprived expression. Standing nearby, All Might, in his skeletal form, looked at the display. The room was filled with silence as they contemplated their next steps.
Nezu leaned back, eyes fixed on the monitor.
"No quirk… yet his capabilities far exceed what we expect from someone his age. Physical endurance, reflexes, strong, energy attacks, ability to fly. It's Fascinating to see someone with multiple abilities."
He turned toward Aizawa.
"Did you notice anything unusual during your assessment?"
Aizawa exhaled, his exhaustion clear. "It's hard to say. That kid's impossible to read."
He rubbed his temples.
"One thing's obvious, though: he doesn't seem that invested in becoming a hero. Barely reacted when I said we could throw out his application."
All Might narrowed. "Perhaps with the right guidance, he can learn how to follow the rules."
Nezu sighed, " let's assume what he has is a quirk with multiple abilities, then question how many abilities he has and how strong they are.
Aizawa raised an eyebrow. "That something we can investigate slowly the main concern should be what if he becomes a villain.
Nezu clasped his paws together. "That's won't happen as I allow him entry, but with close supervision. Midnight will monitor him.
Aizawa groaned internally, "Why does it feel like you're sending a wife?"
Nezu smiled. "Because it's a loss if he gives up joining UA, and I also need to make sure," posing for a second, then he change his words "just making sure he doesn't pick the wrong road."
While they were discussing how to handle Aiden was sitting in his room reading the magic book, just as he finished mastering a basic see-through spell, the doorbell rang.
Opening the door, Nezu smiled up at Aiden, "I hope I didn't disturb you."
As Aiden looked around but he couldn't see anyone else beside Nezu, but as he started to look through, at some distance, there were some cars where people like Aizawa were sitting, not understanding why he didn't bring them here, he let Nezu in the room.
Giving him a cup of tea, Aiden sat down in front of Nezu.
Not touching the cup after some deliberation, Nezu asks the most important question in his mind." Mr Aiden, I was curious, why did you say you don't have a quirk, instead of saying your quirk has just awakened and recently? Saying things like you have magic, it's really suspicious for people like me."
"Just to save some trouble, should I start lying? It doesn't matter if I have to say it's a quirk or is the magic for something else. Plus you should also understand the restriction you get from using quirk."
Nezu chuckled. "You do have a point, Aiden. But I hope you will not talk about magic, I don't thin world is ready for a new power system. In exchange, you can join the UA academy. Under certain conditions."
"Conditions?" Aiden echoed, leaning back.
"Midnight will be your advisor and also stay here to confirm the power system you have is not a quirk" While saying this, Nezu's intention is to send a supervisor.
"Midnight", saying her name, Aiden recall her beautiful figure and thought if I can't get midnight, and in 3 years it's better to go and catch Wonder Woman from next door. While thinking, he agreed to Nezu's condition.
As the trio returned, Nezu looked satisfied. "I believe we've made the right choice."
Aizawa sighed. "He's going to be a handful."
All Might smiled. "That's what makes it worth it. Every challenge is an opportunity for better future."
Nezu nodded. "Indeed. Let's prepare for an interesting year."
