Yuuto's claws tore through the air with blinding speed, each strike leaving streaks of silver light that split the ground apart. Ren blocked one swipe with a wall of fire, but Yuuto's next blow punched straight through it, slamming into his chest and sending him flying across the courtyard.
Ren crashed into the snow, skidding through the frozen earth before flipping to his feet. His flames roared back to life, forming blazing whips that lashed out toward Yuuto.
Yuuto didn't even bother dodging. A single sweep of his arm shattered the fiery tendrils like fragile glass. He vanished in a blur of silver, reappearing directly in front of Ren, his claws already arcing upward.
Ren barely raised his arms in time to block. The force of Yuuto's strike sent a shockwave tearing through the courtyard, flinging snow and debris skyward. The sheer pressure crushed Ren to his knees, his boots carving trenches in the ground as he struggled to withstand the blow.
