Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Cheaters Aren’t Dead Yet, but the Ninja World is Already in Chaos.

Doing such a thing and not allowing Sasuke to seek revenge? What kind of logic is that? Saying things like "if we don't guide you, you might become the second Madara Uchiha."

Seriously? You killed his father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, and his entire clan. You even forced his own brother to do it. And now you won't let him take revenge?

The fact that Sasuke didn't immediately summon a Susanoo and rampage through Konoha is already him showing restraint.

And then you try to manipulate him with threats and empty promises, telling him to fight for the lofty ideal of world peace.

As for this…

Uzumaki Jun really doesn't know what to say. Such shameless words, and Konoha actually dares to say them.

As for peace in the ninja world, it can only be achieved when one becomes strong enough. Moreover, achieving peace isn't that easy. Haven't you seen how the world started descending into chaos even before the two biggest cheaters died?

Why did the Sage of Six Paths stay alive until the end just to give his sons power-ups?

Wasn't it to tell them, "Stop fighting. This world isn't peaceful. There's a sword hanging over our heads, and aliens are watching us covetously. Didn't you see how even my mother, as powerful as she was, was so worried she wanted to take back all chakra? So stop messing around. Communicate with each other, understand each other, and work toward peace. Only by uniting can we resist the aliens and bring prosperity to the ninja world."

But who would've thought that right after cleaning up one criminal organization, another one would pop up and start causing trouble?

The Sage of Six Paths must have been completely baffled. He searched the entire ninja world and still didn't notice them. These rats were hiding really well!

If he had known they were this strong, he would've just let them protect the peace.

Why bother going through all the trouble of creating the Child of Prophecy? Now that the prophecy was fulfilled, they just went ahead and took care of the Child of Prophecy themselves!!!

Sigh.

His Ninshū path still has a long way to go.

So this story teaches us: if you're not capable, don't take on such heavy responsibilities. Those who are truly strong haven't even shown themselves yet. Weren't they just waiting for the Child of Prophecy to save the world?

Laying low and growing stronger is the real strategy.

...

"Still want to sleep?"

Uzumaki Komaki sneered as he watched the Kirigakure camp on high alert. Dream on. The world isn't that kind. Thinking you can sleep peacefully on enemy territory? You'll have to stay up all night listening to explosions!

He turned to the people around him and asked quietly, "Are you ready?"

"No problem," one of the Uzumaki clansmen replied cheerfully. "We're all shadow clones anyway. What's the plan?"

Shadow clones are perfect for harassment.

"We've prepared a ton of explosive tags this time. We'll give them a nice surprise once they're fast asleep," another short-haired Uzumaki said with narrowed eyes.

"In that case, let them sleep a little longer," Uzumaki Komaki said after some thought. "We'll move at midnight."

Keeping them on edge is how war should be.

"Yes!!"

Uzumaki Komaki narrowed his eyes as he stared at the Kirigakure camp, muttering inwardly, "What a bunch of despicable invaders."

...

"Lord Jun, it seems people from Konoha have landed on shore?"

Just as Uzumaki Jun's shadow clone was deep in thought about future strategies, Uzumaki Kai suddenly approached.

The clan head and elders had gone to rest, so Uzumaki Kai was now guarding him. As one of the strongest among the younger generation of the Uzumaki clan, Uzumaki Kai was quite well-known.

"Konoha?" Uzumaki Jun frowned. What were they doing here at this hour? Coming to scavenge the spoils? Seriously?

The Uzumaki clan isn't even wiped out yet, and they're already rushing to inherit the remains? How shameless can they get? Most of the clan's wealth was already spent on explosive tags, and the treasury was nearly empty!

A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he said to Uzumaki Kai, "I'll go wake up my main body now." Then, he dispelled the shadow clone.

Uzumaki Kai opened his mouth, about to ask if they should inform the clan head and elders, but he quickly dismissed the idea.

The clan head had already said that everything was to follow Uzumaki Jun's orders now. Besides, Lord Jun's decisions had never been wrong so far, so he must have his reasons this time too.

But…

What were the Konoha ninja doing here? Weren't they done with us? Didn't they refuse to send reinforcements?

Showing up now could only mean trouble. As for them suddenly having a change of heart and coming to help?

Yeah, right. Did they really think the Uzumaki clan was stupid?

Uzumaki Kai smirked coldly. Konoha better not try anything funny now, or they wouldn't get off easy.

The Uzumaki clan wasn't to be trifled with. Even if there was an agreement with Lord Hashirama, if they dared to act shamelessly, Uzushio wouldn't hold back.

"What's going on?" Suddenly, the clan head appeared beside Uzumaki Kai and asked with a frown.

After a moment's thought, Uzumaki Kai explained the situation.

"Konoha!!" the clan head muttered, his brow furrowed. The situation was finally turning in their favor. All they had to do was starve out the Kirigakure forces. They couldn't afford any disruptions now. And…

Konoha? Hah! Who still trusted them?

"Gather the elders. We'll go take a look," the clan head said after some deliberation. He absolutely wouldn't allow anything to happen to Uzumaki Jun.

If Konoha wanted to interfere, they shouldn't blame Uzushio for being ruthless.

"Yes!!"

...

"Lord Shukuma!" A Senju clansman frowned when Senju Shukuma suddenly stopped them. "What's wrong?"

Now that they'd landed, shouldn't they be looking for the Uzumaki clansmen? Time was of the essence!

Senju Shukuma frowned and scanned the surroundings before saying in a low voice, "There's someone here."

Someone?!

Immediately, the Senju clansmen tightened their grips on their kunai, alert. Had the Uzumaki clan already been wiped out? Were these Kirigakure ninja or Uzumaki survivors? If it was Kirigakure, they were in danger.

Were they going to be killed before they could even act?

"Come out!" Senju Shukuma called out sternly. "We've already spotted you. Show yourselves!"

But there was no response. The surroundings remained deathly silent.

Seeing that no one answered, Senju Shukuma tightened his grip on his kunai. If things went south, he'd strike immediately. But what was the Uzumaki clan's situation? Had they really arrived too late?

Unbeknownst to him, hidden in the shadows, Uzumaki scouts were quietly discussing.

"What should we do?" one asked.

"Not sure. Someone's already gone to report to Lord Kai," another replied. "For now, keep watching them. Don't make a sound."

"What are the Konoha ninja even doing here now?" a third muttered. "Under Lord Jun's leadership, we're guaranteed victory. Why are they showing up?"

"Shut up. Don't let them hea—" The squad leader was about to scold when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He spun around, kunai at the ready.

"Who's there?"
