"Really?" Liam scratched his head and laughed. "I don't see why it matters. Hey, old grandma, do you want the Munch-Munch Fruit? It's great for making weapons."
Kureha punched him, knocking him down.
"Wapol's stuff? You can keep it for yourself," the punk doctor said faintly, lifting a fist.
Even saying that seemed meaningless. Devil Fruits are each valued at over 100 million berries and are considered treasures of the sea. They are coveted by countless people, but in the eyes of this young pirate, they are as trivial as small gifts for acquaintances. Incredible. After living more than a hundred years, Kureha had never seen a monster like him.
Liam smiled, unconcerned, and let B.I.B. take the Magnetic-Magnetic Fruit chip from his body and return the Munch-Munch Fruit chip.
It was time to leave.
Chopper lingered reluctantly, and Kureha accompanied him to the shore. There, they saw the two pirates retrieve a medium-sized sailboat from the mouth of the green Den Den Mushi, Paulie.
"..." The little reindeer's eyes nearly popped out in shock.
Liam casually held the sailboat with one hand and tossed it onto the slightly frozen water at the shore.
"I see... Shiro Shiro no Mi (Castle-Castle Fruit). So this is the 'pirate base' where we stayed before..." Kureha murmured.
"Not quite. This is Little Green's City Castle. Before, we stayed in B.I.B.'s Stand City Castle." Robin thought about it and decided there was no need to explain, smiling faintly.
Suddenly, she saw a figure slip behind the rocks on the shore and sneak into the small boat Liam had tossed ashore. Liam was talking to Chopper, completely oblivious to the mouse sneaking aboard.
Ros hid in the cabin, finding a spot to quietly observe the farewells. Apparently, none of them noticed her, and she secretly relaxed.
"Don't worry, Giorno and Jolyne," Chopper said, rubbing his eyes and sniffling. Tears sparkled in his blue nose. "Next time we meet, I'll be a qualified doctor..."
Liam didn't speak, but he smiled and gave Chopper a thumbs-up. Then he turned and jumped with Robin onto the deck of the small sailboat by the shore.
B.I.B. followed gracefully, unfurled the sail, and quietly entered the cabin to take the helm.
......
The sail, decorated with the JOJO skull emblem, billowed as the boat sailed away. Chopper waved desperately from the shore until the little ship disappeared over the horizon.
"Let's go back," Kureha said, turning away. "You foolish apprentice! You think becoming a qualified doctor is easy?"
"I'll work hard!" Chopper chirped, following Kureha across the snow.
After Giorno and Jolyne left, Chopper continued to study medicine under Kureha.
Just as before, Kureha taught Chopper medicine and incorporated insights from Dr. Vegapunk's research on Lineage Factor into her instruction.
Aside from studying medicine, she began tinkering with various weapons, like the Kingdom of Torino's signature missile spears.
...
Time passed without anyone noticing.
One day, King Dalton and his newly formed guard were defending the shore against a group of pirates when a strange, high-pitched whistling sound suddenly rang in everyone's ears. A wobbly missile flew from the nearby shore toward the pirate ship. Bang! It exploded, scattering pirates into the flaming sea.
"That's... Doctor Kureha?!" Engaged in battle with the pirates, Dalton stared in astonishment at the blurred figure.
...
Some time had passed since Giorno and the others had left. When Kureha walked through Great Horn City with Chopper once again, she learned that the residents had renamed the nation.
"Medical Snow Kingdom? What a ridiculous name..." Kureha stood on a stool, drinking and laughing. "Dalton King, your naming skills really aren't impressive."
"Kureha Doctor," Dalton ignored her sarcasm and simply reminded her, "That child over there seems to be in discomfort. No other doctors have arrived yet. Only you can care for him here."
"..." Kureha grabbed her bottle and took a swig. "Is that so?"
At her feet, the reindeer turned its head and fixed its gaze on a little boy in a woman's arms. His face was flushed with illness.
Before leaving, Giorno and Jolyne had approached her. Annoyed by their request, Kureha muttered, "Why do I have to deal with such a troublesome thing?"
"Hmm?" Dalton looked puzzled.
"Who says I'm the only doctor here?" Kureha wiped her mouth, slammed the bottle on the table, and said, "Chopper, if you want to treat him, go ahead!"
Her words left everyone around her confused.
"Chopper?"
"Who is she talking to?"
"Kureha, you…" Dalton watched in surprise as Kureha was actually speaking to the reindeer at her feet.
The blue-nosed reindeer looked startled, too—clearly not expecting her to address him directly.
"Stand up," Kureha said, looking down at Chopper. "Aren't you a doctor?"
"It's not really that troublesome, is it?" Giorno said, stroking his chin as he predicted her next move and dodged her punch. "With your popularity, old grandma, as long as you endorse Pikachu's identity, is there anyone on this island foolish enough not to respect you? Even if they refuse, they'll still have to treat Pikachu like a human."
Giorno laughed like a pirate. "Then just convince them with your fists, right?"
In front of the residents of the Medical Snow Kingdom, the reindeer slowly stood up straight, transforming into a burly man with a backpack.
"It's a snow monster," someone in the crowd exclaimed.
Chopper lowered his head, his expression dimming.
Whiz!
Kureha threw a bottle. Smack!
Pointing at Chopper, she stomped on a stool and shouted, "Listen carefully! This guy is Chopper, a reindeer who ate the Human-Human Fruit. Though he's a reindeer, he's also human! He is now my apprentice and a doctor. Anyone who pretends to be ignorant and insists on calling him a snow monster...don't blame me if I'm not polite."
"Are you going to do that while treating him?" others gasped.
Kureha delivered a flying kick, sending one person into the wall. "Idiot! How could a doctor do such a thing?"
Ah, so that's what she meant by "not polite." Everyone felt embarrassed.
The burly man stood there, facing the stares, feeling a bit awkward.
"Doctor Chopper, right?" Dalton approached. His head sprouted bull horns, and his whole head resembled a black bull. He smiled as he extended his hand. "I'm King Dalton. Can I ask for your help in treating that child?"
The burly man looked at the bull-headed figure, stunned. His eyes quickly reddened, and he grasped Dalton's hand tightly.
"Leave it to me!"
Amidst the murmurs of the crowd, Chopper skillfully examined and treated the little boy, whose complexion soon improved. The mother wept tears of gratitude toward the little reindeer.
Chopper's eyes were red, and he smiled with pure joy.
"..." Kureha was about to get another drink when she noticed a fresh newspaper on the table.
"The Sick Homeland"... Looks like he's cured. Hehe, just like his random guess, it's a princess."
Kureha shook her head. The article seemed like official propaganda rather than true facts, so she set it aside.
On the front page was a picture of Ros, a girl who had once come to study medicine here.
...
It took her back to when Liam and the others left the original Magnetic Drum Kingdom.
At sea, the JOJO pirate ship cut through the waves while Ros cowered in the corner of the cabin.
She looked around the empty cabin, her heart pounding with fear.
Where were those two pirates? Why had they vanished?
And who was sailing this ship?!
