Robin sidestepped and approached Rose, nodding to B.I.B. and Liam before retreating with Princess and King.
"Haiyna... she..." Rose stammered, her eyes wide with disbelief. 'Does she still think she hasn't been defeated?'
After several rounds of combat, Robin's condition had deteriorated. The next stage belonged to Liam, who could freely coordinate his attacks with his Stand.
If Robin remembered correctly, aside from that sparring match against Shanks and Mihawk, Liam had never truly fought anyone alongside B.I.B., unrestrained.
He must have been waiting for this day for a long time...
With a smile, Robin looked toward Liam, standing atop the ruins of the city fortress.
'Well… naked…'
Though his physique was flawless and pleasing to the eye, it still made her want to sigh and cover her face.
Under Liam's watchful gaze, a layer of dark green Corrupting Poison indeed surfaced on Haiyna's candy-like body, washing away the foam he had applied all over her.
As the dark green liquid slid off her, Haiyna bloomed like a red lotus rising untainted from the mud.
She lowered her head and saw a Black left hand, entwined with Haki, pierce through the sliding muck, through the cascading dark green Corrupting Poison, and press between her breasts. Where the Black hand touched, her chest was protected by a layer of Black Haki.
"Ah," Liam remarked, "Auntie, you're quick on the draw."
On his right hand, he naturally wore the B.I.B. gauntlet, its left arm covered in blue flame-like patterns. However, Haiyna's Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki) blocked him from successfully extracting her Rot-Rot Fruit.
"Clumsy little pervert," Haiyna sneered, backhanding Giorno and sending him flying.
Liam spun through the air, landing on one foot with a whiz-whiz-whiz. He wobbled, scanning the ruins. "Where's my staff?"
The Black armor shrugged, indicating it hadn't noticed either.
By then, Haiyna had already charged forward, her blade slashing through the air, carving another chunk from the palace's high ground.
She reached out to grab Liam, Corrupting Poison erupting from her palm. "Not this again!" Liam yelled. "That's so unfair!"
To avoid being corroded by the poison, Liam had to coat his entire body in Armament Haki. Otherwise, he'd likely suffer the same fate as the Corrupting Disease victims Rose had described, rotting away like corpses until death.
Liam dodged the poison, but Haiyna had anticipated his move, her blade slicing through the air to unleash a wave of blood.
'This can't go on…' B.I.B. exchanged a glance with Liam's true body before stepping forward to block Haiyna's path.
"A ghost?" Haiyna's Observation Haki detected B.I.B., and she slashed at him with a Busoshoku Haki-enhanced blade.
Lacking arms, B.I.B. raised his leg, entwining it with Armament Haki to block the strike.
But even with both combatants using Armament Haki, a leg was clearly at a disadvantage against a blade.
Moreover, Haiyna's Armament Haki was stronger.
Armless and relying solely on his Foshan Shadowless Kick, B.I.B. was forced into a continuous retreat by the great sword hero Haiyna's relentless assault.
Liam, wearing Stand arm guards, reached out with his left hand and selected the Impact Fruit Chip, Magnet-Magnet Fruit Chip, Gold-Gold Fruit Chip, and Pipe-Pipe Fruit Chip without hesitation. Seizing the opportunity, B.I.B. kicked her away.
"Damn it, it's coated in Armament Haki!" Liam cursed, his face darkening. "The sword can't come!"
"Are you doing something?" Haiyna asked Giorno, channeling her energy into a dazzling arc of sword light that stretched over ten meters.
B.I.B. remained unfazed, phasing through the blade's strike.
But the attack wasn't meant for him. The massive slash sealed off every angle of Liam's escape.
Black Armament Haki surged across Liam's upper body as the massive blade swept past him, leaving another crimson gash in its wake.
"Giorno, elder brother!" Rose cried out from afar.
Robin kept her Flower-Flower Fruit abilities at the ready. Even if it meant revealing her powers or even her true identity, she wouldn't let Liam come to any real harm. Suddenly, she glanced up at the sky.
Liam already bore several bloody cuts. He grinned, "I was a top contender in the Sword Hero Tournament, after all. Time to return the favor!"
"Huh?" Haiyna looked up sharply. In the gloomy sky, countless metallic objects had coalesced into a river, compressed by immense force into a colossal Longblade suspended in the air.
Bang...
A massive Longblade, forged from countless metallic objects drawn from the island, whistled through the air before crashing down with a deafening BANG! onto Haiyna's position.
The already ruined City Fortress crumbled further into rubble.
As the billowing dust settled, Rose coughed softly, overhearing Jolyneelder sister's murmured observation: "She truly loves them deeply..."
Within the swirling dust, a pair of narrow eyes, invisible to ordinary humans, glowed. B.I.B. watched Haiyna, her back bloodied and battered beneath the colossal metal blade.
She stood with her back to the towering weapon, cradling the unconscious Rasha, Coyatl, and Jiabode in her arms.
"Hey! You're making me look like the bad guy here!" Liam shouted from afar. He knew that if Haiyna hadn't been protecting those three, she could have easily evaded the attack.
After all, the massive blade had descended slowly from the sky. With Haiyna's speed, even with a broken leg, she could have dodged it.
Haiyna ignored the blood streaming down her back as she gently laid the three women on the ground.
Grasping her blade, she turned to face the shadowy figure in black and Giorno, a smile playing on her lips. "Hiding so far away? Afraid elder sister will eat you?"
"Huh? Speak up! Can't hear you!" Liam shouted from a distance.
With a flick of his wrists, he returned the arm guards to B.I.B., the black armor clicking back into its complete form.
Countless metal objects, drawn by magnetic force, surged toward Liam, coalescing into a colossal robot that enveloped him.
"Now, try your poison again! Hahaha!"
Haiyna demonstrated that even metal was vulnerable to her Corrupting Poison.
"Damn it!" Liam roared as the massive metal robot he controlled disintegrated piece by piece under Haiyna's assault. Large chunks of metal, coated in dark green liquid, visibly corroded before their eyes. "Is that the Rot-Rot Fruit or the Rust-Rust Fruit?"
Even with B.I.B.'s interference, Haiyna steadily dismantled the colossal robot encasing Liam, bit by bit, with her Corrupting Poison.
"Huff... huff..."
Haiyna's breath grew long and heavy.
Liam ejected from the metal robot, grinning. "How does it feel to have your own attrition tactics turned against you? Burning through all that metal with the Rot-Rot Fruit must have drained a lot of your stamina, right?"
Haiyna, locked in a sword clash with B.I.B., glanced at Liam, slightly breathless, and suddenly Issho.
"Ah!"
A scream echoed from the distance, Rose's terrified cry.
Liam and B.I.B. both turned to see dark green liquid erupting from the bodies of Rasha, Coyatl, and Jiabode, who had been unconscious on the ground. The liquid completely enveloped them, and the three figures staggered to their feet, transforming into grotesque, poison-drenched zombies. Their heads snapped around in unison, and they lurched toward Rose, King, and Robin.
Robin shoved the others aside and charged toward the three Poison Humans.
"Sister Jolyne!" Rose wailed.
Liam tried to intervene, but Haiyna punched him away. She then slashed at B.I.B.'s arms with her sword, her fiery red hair billowing without wind, contrasting starkly with the blood streaming down her back, a cruel beauty.
She laughed. "Now I'm the villain again, little boy."
