Chapter 13 - WTF!!

I gasped as I woke up out of breath. I realized that I was back in bed and I was confused, had I ever left, I was drenched in sweat and the bed was soaking wet.

I tried standing up but I was hit by a wave of excruciating pain with even the slightest movement. I lay down back on the bed and broke out in cold sweat which was undetectable due to my already drenched state. My whole body ached and my stomach growled and gurgled like an angry beast in the ocean.

After laying for more than an hour the pain finally receded. I lay for another 30 minutes, before testing out a finger, seeing if I could lift it up. After successful doing that I decided to try sit upright, but was unexpectedly sent crashing into the ceiling.

BOOM!

I hit the ground landing back down, leaving my full body imprint on the sturdy marble which I wouldn't have been able to dent previously.

Looking at the wrecked ceiling and floor I realized that what happened prior was no dream, this was sign enough to show that it was as real as it could get.

I was itching to observe my current state but the only mirrors where in the washroom and unlike when I was a demon I couldn't do physical introspection.

I decided to slowly head to the washroom, walking in the most gentle pace he could muster but still I had underestimated myself yet again and was sent crashing into the ceiling once more.

This occured for an innumerable amount of times before I finally regained the ability to walk albeit awkwardly.

Looking at the rubble I had caused in my own room I scratched my head in an awkward speechless silence, unable to utter even the slightest sound.

I walked to the washroom, a journey that took an excruciating amount of time.

Despite my gentle pace I still left deep foot imprints on the floor in my wake. Upon reaching the washroom I tried to open the door as gently as I could but ended up ripping it right off the wall.

I sighed again, if this continued I was going to be homeless, I had to be more careful or soon I would be sharing my bed with the rats at the sewers.

I still found it hard to make sense of the situation and could only attribute it to the weird dream-not-a-dream I had previously.

Being a demon prior to now and with my newfound cultural awareness, I could roughly make out something but my lucid mind held strongly to logic discrediting my fictional musings.

Others wrecked havoc in their opponents turf but here I was demolishing my only abode. I walked to the mirror to observe myself but froze in front of it as I stared straight into it, mouth agape.

"What the fuck?!!"
