The child stared at Xiang Anning in terror, their whole body trembling.
Xiang Anning noticed scars on the child's body from being whipped.
"Little one, don't be afraid, big sis won't hurt you. Are you hungry? Big sis has something tasty for you!" As she spoke, Xiang Anning handed a fragrant piece of bread to the child.
The child was probably really hungry, for upon seeing the bread, they immediately reached out to grab it and started devouring it ravenously.
"Slow down, here, have some water!" Xiang Anning offered water to the child.
The child was so skinny, almost skeletal.
Just then, some international journalists arrived in Z Town for a news story and witnessed this scene.
The photographer and journalist quickly approached Xiang Anning and the child.
The journalist pointed the microphone at Xiang Anning.
"Miss, may we interview you?" the journalist asked.
Xiang Anning was terrified at the sight of the camera! She had no idea what these people wanted to do.
