"Dad..." Zhao Xiaoyi called out.
"Where did you go last night?" Mr. Zhao asked sharply.
"I... I went to a friend's house last night!" Zhao Xiaoyi told a lie that even she couldn't believe, then quickly headed toward the stairs!
"Stop right there! Did you go to Xiaomei's house or Xiaoli's house last night? You only have those few friends, and I've called them all; everyone says they didn't see you! You're lying!"
Mr. Zhao stood up suddenly!
Zhao Xiaoyi felt like a thief—one that had been caught at the scene!
She stood there!
Mr. Zhao had already walked up to her!
"Xiaoyi, tell your Dad, did you start dating someone?"
